Ah, yes...I have the evil and incredibly confusing Microsoft Word 2007. Microsoft Office 2007 in general is evil. I haven't been saving things in xml format because then a lot of other people can't view them...I just save everything as a 2003 .doc document.

I've never really thought about it though...it's just the way I was raised. In fact, I never even realized I was being polite until I came to college and everyone was like "wtf is your problem why do you act like that?".

Americans in general are just notoriously rude, I guess. Being "polite" here is just common decency in most other places.
