Alteredegos, I need your help. All of the fanfics that were saved in web format from Word don't work. The punctuation is all screwy (i.e. questions marks were apostrophes and quotation marks should go).
This puts me right back into the situation of having to HTML all the fanfics "by hand", as it were, and I just don't have that kind of time. Suggestions?
EDIT: I'm fixing yours now, Bekboo. Stupid Word... :grr:

I have an idea Sunnstar, and hopefully you'll have the time. Part of the problem with "It's a Matter of life and death" is the spacing. If you could go through and adjust the spacing so it's single spaced instead of double, that'd help. Also, starting about 2/3 of the way through, each new chapter starts on a separate page, which leaves gaping spaces that look really random on an internet page (since there are no "page dividers" like there are on microsoft word). If you could fix these two things and re-send it to me, that might do the trick.Um, Mara, do you want me to take IaMoLaD and just send it to you in the actual email? That would be really long tho...

Oh yeah...if anyone is interested in doing something really random for no apparent reason, go check out volume 1 of TOSOT...in Spanish! It's really cool to see (and is all thanks to latinvortex! Woo!)

I'd translate it into Irish, but I don't have the time or attention span to....and I think I'm probably the only one who speaks it anyway. XD

oh, I wanted to do that... lol but it really was SOOO cool! latinvortex you did an astouding job! I loved how you made Britney say 'o sea' and 'ash' that was amazing! just one thing (or more): I want to suggest to not to use a lot of mexican expresions, try to do it as standard as posible, I mean like the 'checar' or 'chido' or 'orale' (though in the series translation they actually use those expresions!)! lol you should put other more standarized expresions...also in the 'rolando sus ojos' you could put 'girando sus ojos' o 'torciendo sus ojos', and there are some ortographic(is that the word?) mistakes like accents or question marks..., ok just suggestions :D but I really must say you did an amazing job! I love it!!! I usually don't like translated fics or novels or any piece of writing, because they generaly lose their esence, but you can really transmit what the author wanted to say!Ya, I know, but it'll automatically double space it when I HTML it.

What "problems"? Looks fine to me... But, what version MS Word do you have, just for grins?Aeharding, alteredegos, I believe the "save in web format" was your suggestion, so do you have any insight into what the problem might be and/or how to fix it?
