Just appreciating a classic lol sorry

I kinda want to hear Urvy's opinion, though more than just a sentence or two. Cindy isn't the worst tsundere I've seen, but she can rub fans the wrong way.

Well, all good in theory TrippedUp, but you do have valid points about Cindy. However, worse case senario, the past could come back to haunt her someday. Sure, she could grow out of it when she gets older, but there could be a chance that her desire to be better than anyone else would return and turn Cindy back to the old Cindy-an unlikeable mean person.

We saw a bit of Cindy's mean streak in the opening of "A Beautiful Mine", we see Cindy beating on a Jimmy bop bag, one could think it's a way to relieve her anger, but I think it's a way to pretend to beat on Jimmy. And in "Birth of A Salesman" Cindy wanted to buy Jimmy for who knows what, presumably slavery.

Another gripe I have with the character are the fans. The fans and their immature attacks on other characters on YouTube and fanfiction.net, in addition to Cindy's mean personality, just turned me off into trying to like Cindy. These fans tend to bash Betty and other females and praise Cindy are like rabid cult followers that drink the Kool-Aid.

That is true, but thats WORST CASE SCENARIO. I'd like to think she wouldn't, but each their own.

And like I've mentioned before, the fans that villify a character and skewing them into the villain in their poorly written fanfiction annoy me. Let's see what the show has shown us about Betty:

She's nice and pretty
She gets along with Jimmy, and even flirts a little
Likes magic and plays
Not as sweet as she appears, as she does get into an argument with Cindy.
Though extremely nice to Jimmy, she accepts Cindy's feelings and tells her "He's all yours"

How do you get an evil character from that?

Though if I may, you dislike how Betty is treated tbroughout the fandom, yet you continue to do the same with Cindy. Its really not fair to condone one and not the other.

Let's be clear: Cindy is an 11 year old with some anger issues, but it's implied she mellows out a bit later on. Of course the temper is still there, but still. She is mot a raving psychopath.

Betty is a little flirtacious. It may be unintentional, but it's there. She is not some slutty seductress.

Let's not exaggerate character traits, shall we?

Cindy isn't a saint, not by a long shot. But that doesn't mean she's some sort of violent, raving ticking time bomb.

By the way, I think the Jimmy doll was supposed to be a joke. If you think about it long enough, it does imply some sort of problem, but I'm sure it was a throwaway gag.

I was going to portray Cindy as a villain in my revision of the video game character Bomberman modeled after the 1989 Batman movie, meaning I was gonna break up the Jimmy/Cindy pairing by having Cindy move to another city and become a supervillain after her new school, where the hero also goes to, rejects her genius IQ and goes mad by thrashing her room and becoming a criminal mastermind in order to get revenge on those that mocked her and destroy the hero.

But, because of other commitments, I stopped after chapter 3. If I would revisit that fic, which is unlikely, and post it at FF.Net or on DA, I would get flamed.

I agree with TrippedUp, none of the characters are perfect. They're HUMAN, Jimmy isn't perfect either. :/

If anything,

Cindy is my fav charrie in the show, not just because of JxC, also because of her personality.
Although extremely tough and mean, she has a soft side.

I think her personality is revolved around Jimmy, always insulting someone (preferably Jimmy x) ), even though that is a pinch of who she is, she only
does this because she likes Jimmy, and doesnt want anyone else to know.
As in Stranded, you see a differant side of her, because, no one else is there.
No Sheen, Carl, or Libby.

Just her and Jimmy, no peer pressure

And thats why i shes my fav ^^
