And those are the hates.
The loves? Here goes. I love her efforts. I love her determination, and her goals, however unreachable. i love how much she tries. i love how she hides all those insecurities in her. (Stranded) I love how she's human like all of us, but pushes herself to extremes to prove better (not the cheating part). I love most of all, how many faces/layers she has. I know I spoke strongly of her bad points, but all her good points make up for it. She's basically very emotional. I think i like that best. Don't ask why.
She behaves like a cross between a 5 year old, and an adult sometimes. Like Jimmy, she puts friends before herself.
I think I found enough reason to love her. In truth, I'm actually very sorry for her; the strain she puts on herself.

But really, the character's should've been fleshed out a bit more. Cindy could have shown her more softer side, because although its buried deep, it does exist. Plus they should've done an episode where they show where they all met

I used the Candybar Doll Maker at thedollpalace.com to make that, Kate. And it didn't have a fancy green dress option. I chose blue cuz it was the closest to green in the spectrum.Really? I pictured her in something green...

Here is the pic and blurb:
Cindy Vortex
Cindy is the second smartest kid in class (she used to be number one, until she moved across the street from Jimmy). Cindy and Jimmy compete over pretty much everything, including their dogs (Jimmy's is a robot, Cindy's a canine). They're usually found teasing and/or insulting each other, but the two have more in common, than they realize. Though they're pretty much the only ones in Retroville who haven't figured it out...
Wait, so CINDY was the one who moved into the neighborhood? I always thought it was the other way around, and that he showed up one day and upstaged her. Also explains how Sheen could've known Jimmy since he was 5 years old (as quoted in Birth of a Salesman)

"Yeah Carl, where have you been for the last ten years?"

WHAT? But then how does the whole 'he moved here and took away my number 1 spot' hold? Is that a continuity issue or a mistake on the website or just a fan assumption that Jimmy was the one who moved? I'm confused!

Of course, I would have loved to have more insight into her life like we saw for Helga on Hey Arnold. Still, although we learned more about Helga, I liked Cindy more for some reason….
CINDY ROCKS!

I'd be lying if I said Cindy didn't annoy me at times... But I still really like her!
The main problems I have with Cindy are that, first of all, she gets unreasonably angry when Jimmy flirts with another girl. OK, I can understand her getting jealous, as she likes him, but she acts like she's the only girl who has a right to his heart!
(Don't get me wrong, I am a J/C shipper.
The other problem I have is that I feel she sometimes goes too far in her teasing of Jimmy (particularly in The Science Fair Affair, Men at Work, The Incredible Shrinking Town and N-Men).
Though, I do actually like Cindy's snarky, sarcastic behavior, when she's not being overly mean.
I think Cindy is really a nice person, as we can see at several points throughout the series. I think her mother just pushes her so hard to be the best, it brings out her aggressive side more often, as well as her obsession with winning and getting what she wants.
I also think that, out of all the main characters, Cindy is the one who grows the most over the course of the series.
In Season 1, she and Jimmy see each other as nothing but rivals, neither showing nor acknowledging their feelings for each other.
Also, in this season, Cindy can't stand Sheen and Carl, and sees them both as nothing but idiotic morons.
In Season 2, Cindy begins to acknowledge her feelings for Jimmy, but still isn't comfortable showing them.
At the start of the season, she still can't stand Sheen and Carl, as shown by her disapproval of Libby dating Sheen, but by the end, she seems to tolerate them more.
In Season 3, Cindy finally starts to show her feelings. We see the beginnings of this in Win, Lose & Kaboom, and of course, Stranded is where both her and Jimmy's feelings really manifest themselves.
Cindy also seems to have learned to like Carl and Sheen by the end of this season, as we see her laughing and smiling at them in Lady Sings the News. We also see them working together in N-Men, King of Mars and League of Villains, and we even see her dancing with Carl during "I Have the Ring!"
By this point, she also seems much more relaxed and positive than she did at the start of the series.

See Jimmy Run: She kept winning the races and acted like a big hero because it, not caring that Jimmy is being trampled on or anything (also, the end wasn't great either...I kinda cut Carl & Sheen slack because they are idiots)
The Incredible Shrinking Town: Everybody is being mean to Jimmy, who "shrunk" the town...(Why isn't anyone being mean to Ike, or Coach Gruber who ACTUALLY caused all of it or the baby, who got in Jimmy's way ) Anyways, and then she crabs to the town later on how he did it, not to inform...but to Humiliate.
Vanishing Act: Don't get me started, though I see I already have, so...once again the problem is not started by Jimmy, but started by Cindy, who is doing it just because she is jelous. Then, in that...place...she starts yelling at Jimmy to fix everything, even though it was her fault (hey Cindy, if you are as smart as you claim to be, YOU fix it!
Though I know she is a real pain some times, there are times where she is actually being nice to Jimmy, Sheen, and Carl. While she went over-board with Jimmy for the first half, She noticed that they just kept teasing him while he would still try to help. She also shows friendship towards Sheen & Carl by encoaraging them to perfect their super-powers.
As stated by Malcom, she does develop throughout the series the most. Jimmy a bit, Libby a bit...Sheen and Carl...No. But hers is the most...and well, he already stated everything. Anyways, she isn't too bad after the first season...to me, she still acts a lot like a jerk.
As I have stated in my Vanishing Act rant, she crabs at Jimmy to fix everything while she tries to tell everyone that she is smarter than him...Obviously NOT!
Though, she still is very smart for a charecter. While probably only two thirds the I.Q. of Jimmy, she beats most people in life by a long shot. I have to admit, she has good leadership skills (why else would it be she who is the only one who they all should listen to?) Mostly shown in "Win Lose, And KABOOM!" and "The N-Men" I guess besides all of the horrible things she did in "Trading Faces" she never actually hurt Jimmy in any way. Obviuosly, Cindy has more social skills than Jimmy and more people like her (seriosly, HOW many people liked Jimmy in the first season? Six people?)
Anyways, there is my two cents on Cindy...yeah...

Thanks!I agree! She really has developed a better attitude gradually throughout the series! Well put! (Are ya gonna do Jimmy next??
)
I probably will do Jimmy next, but I'm not sure when exactly that'll be...
BTW, Seth - My name is spelled Malcolm.
PS. Oh yeah, Vanshing Act! I forgot to mention that in the list of episodes she annoys me in!
Yeah, as much as I like her, there are times when I just wanna punch her in the face!
Oh course, she'd probably kick my ass with her Karate afterwards...
