:Cindy: Well...it depends on how she is acting in that episode. I admit...really admit, that a lot of times (okay...a LOT of times) just wanna go over to Cindy and make her regret every bad thing she has done to Jimmy. While they start being better friends later on in the series, Cindy has still been a real jerk at some moments

I think part of what you're picking up on here is that Cindy performs an unusual dual role in the series: antagonist and love interest. And early on in the series it's not just a cutesy, we-kinda-argue antagonist, she's an ACTUAL rival and pseudo-villain.

I think if you approach Cindy's character with that in mind (and not with the expectation that she'll perform a friend/supporting role), Cindy's antagonistic behavior doesn't seem abhorrent, it just fits her role in the series. As she gradually moves past being a minor villain and begins to occupy a more central position in the cast, it makes for a great character arc, like you said.

Also explains how Sheen could've known Jimmy since he was 5 years old (as quoted in Birth of a Salesman)

I just attributed that to Sheen being bad at math.

That's strange, 'cause that's not what the movie implied at all. When she said, "I was the smartest kid until you came around" it very much made it sound like he moved there. Then again, sometimes continuity isn't a priority with kid shows. :rolleyes:

It could be implied from that "she was the smartest kid in her school until she moved and he 'came along' into her life". That's how I see it, personally... :)

IMO, the show wouldn't be as good without her, she's one of the characters that make it such a great show. Sure, she picks on jimmy, but hey jimmy sure did get back at her a couple times! Tbh though, it never really seemed like real hate, or that she was doing it just because she liked picking on jimmy.

I once found a quote that helped the argument that Jimmy was the one who moved. But I can't remember. It just seems like that is what would happen.

With the line in the movie, I think she would say: "Until I moved here" instead. I don't really know, but it seems that Jimmy moved instead of Cindy...

I HAVE TO FIND THAT QUOTE...AGAIN!!!

Cindy is the second smartest kid in class (she used to be number one, until she moved across the street from Jimmy). Cindy and Jimmy compete over pretty much everything, including their dogs (Jimmy's is a robot, Cindy's a canine). They're usually found teasing and/or insulting each other, but the two have more in common, than they realize. Though they're pretty much the only ones in Retroville who haven't figured it out...

Wait, so CINDY was the one who moved into the neighborhood? I always thought it was the other way around, and that he showed up one day and upstaged her. Also explains how Sheen could've known Jimmy since he was 5 years old (as quoted in Birth of a Salesman)

Yeah. The movie canon and tv show canon seem to contradict each other. My view on the subject is, "just pick whichever version of the story you like better".

The way I see it, I see that translated as, "... you came along into my life when I moved to Retroville", but that's just me... lol
