Well, I get turned off by these love/hate relationships because of a potential outcome. Here's a friend of mine's quote:

"Jimmy/Cindy (Jimmy Neutron) - Boost Arnold's I.Q. by about 75 points and strip away Helga's unconvincing sob story about her upbringing and you have these two. I honestly didn't think it possible, but Cindy is even more unlikable than Helga. Between her constant stream of insults, her obnoxious threats and the fidgety way she gets if someone calls her on her feelings for Jimmy, I can’t think of a single redeeming quality for her. And, of course, there’s an army of people who will defend this pairing to the death, people who clearly have a fascination with abusive relationships. Seriously, listening to someone defending this ship is like listening to a defense of Scientology: it’s so mind-bogglingly ridiculous that even the person making the defense surely must be thinking, ‘Jesus H. Christ, do I really believe in this? Oh, my God!’."

I've seen that quote before. And it's true, she's not nearly as dimensional as a character as Helga. But, at the same time Helga is a little bit clingy and creepishly obsessed and yet, I love her for it.

Yes, Cindy is cruel, but Jimmy can be obnoxiously arrogant and so Cindy is a good balance because she's honest with him *to a fault*. So, I still stand by my statement that every character has flaws.

Unfortunately for Cindy, we never really see her soft side prominently explored. I would've loved to see a full episode devoted to her.. but that wouldn't have really made sense since it was 'Jimmy Neutron'. :)

My friend who said that quote maybe didn't like it. To him, Stranded is dead to him.

How come? This ep doesn't count as showing Cindy's softer side, IMO.

Well, Emily I do agree we see it a little more but, I meant like an whole episode dedicated to her (to see what is going on her brain like for Helga ih HA)... Maybe that doesn't make sense. Thanks for the correction, Em. :)

I agree that we see a lot of it (her softer side) in Stranded, but it would be nice to see more...

To me, her softer side is too little too late for me, I'm sticking to my guns about how Cindy will reach her boiling point and snap one day ala Carrie, without the mental powers.

Yeah. I don't know though. I don't think she'd do it. But, like I said I like her character.
