Oh yeah, I've known since the beginning. But occasionally I like to ponder what would happen if I killed off someone else. Or if I killed off more than one person...

Ya, I'm no sadist. Two deaths would be too sad. You know what? I'm not saying ANYTHING MORE, or I'm going to give away the ending.

Those who feel this is unfair should know that bribes are accepted. ;)

All this talk of killing off the beloved characters in TOSOT is depressing!

Maybe Mara should settle on a nice, happy ending with rainbows and cuddly kittens that makes us all feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Ha, actually, that would be more disturbing than killing off ALL the characters, I think! XD

Just don't kill Nav, Mara!!!! You CAN'T!!!!!!!!!!!! He's my HERO!!! And to ensure he doesn't die, I'll bribe you with...VIRTUAL CHOCOLATE! :P

I read all Mara's pots carefully. (Mara gives Flank a suspicious glance.). I just remembered and analyzed all what she said. So, there is no any miracle, thanks to Mara's big mouth. :D
Second, like Mara said, she could simply mislead you, so, it all is not for sure.
I agree that killing Nav would be cruel. I wish April had such a boyfriend. But, it's war, that can happen.

Being called Flank.. let me think.. I use it as my nick... no, I don't mind. Call me Flank, Flanky, Flankorama, if you want. I just hope it doesn't sound weird.

Anyway, interpret the end of the chapter any way you want. It could be college student Mara having issues with religion, it could be a genuine moment of contemplation in a story rife with these sort of bigger life questions.

Is it 10 000 years, or is it natural evolution? That's good that you have issues in this case. It means that you are thinking, not wasting your life. I must say that it's extremely interesting and complicated, if you go into all quantum physics, information theory, genetics and system analysis stuff. Actual science doesn't mean denial of God's existence, may be quite otherwise.

Aw, I really wish Mara, or anyone else for that matter, wouldn't find themselves so torn and uncertain over this! For me, Creation has always been really scientific. It doesn't contradict science or logic at all. I mean, from my simple, non-scientific standpoint, I look at it like this: Computers, cars, airplanes, and cellphones are all complex equipment that obviously needed designers and creators. Then look around at nature and the fact that man can't even DREAM of creating something as nearly as complex as the smallest, simplest organism, and it seems pretty clear there has to be a Creator.

I know that's a simple way to put it, but I just can't see how everything could come from nothing without a Creator. I've watched/read more scientific stuides backing up Creation before, but like I said, I'm no scientist. :P

But I'm fully convinced that people who come to that realization are on their way to a much more fulfilling life. Knowing there's Someone in control is definitely encouraging, don't you think?

Just wanted to throw that out there.

@ FLANK-- NOOOO! YOUR LOGIC SPEAKS DEATH FOR NAV!!!! IT CAN'T BE! THE DAY NAV DIES IS THE DAY MY LIFE ENDS!!!!!!!!!!

...Okaaaay, maybe that's not entirely true... XD

Rachel, you are a one good believer and your faith allows you to be smarter than those scientists, who deny God's existence, they and their science worth nothing. Faith is more important than science.

Like I said, I don't want that Nav died, but... someone will die. Only Mara knows who.

Man, I wish you guys would stop talking about who's going to die.
It keeps giving me all sorts of ideas, and I end up wanting to kill off way more people than I should.

Aw, thanks, Flank. That's true, their science is empty without faith...

 That...actually...cracks me up... Like my brother said in one of our whacked-out movies we filmed:

"Violence is the spice of life!" XD

OK...so maybe that's only true in hilarious movies where my brothers attack each other with slow-motion karate moves, but...heh, heh...

I heard that now Mara prefers Nav/Aurora pairing, what means that Dictator Jimmy and April may be in a trouble. Oh, well, I shouldn't talk about it, because I don't want a massacre in the ending.

Funny sig Mara, is it Photoshop, or real letters?

I have to say, Ringo, that you took the words right out of my mouth and arranged them in a way human beings can actually understand.

I have learned through my extensively curious mind that science can make wonderful logic (I actually treasure logic a lot XD) and coincide with Creation very neatly.

Example: I remember, when I was in eighth grade and taking Earth Science, I read that scientists believe humans came up something like 10k years ago. When I asked my mom (who is a brilliant Bible scholar) if the Bible says how old the earth is, she answered--through reasoning and plenty of math--that it could have been somewhere around 7k to 8k years ago when Adam was first brought up out of the dust. I was impressed. And then when I asked her about this nonsense the earth is 4.6 billion years old, she told me that a "week" in Bible terms could mean anything. It could mean one million years for each day, or one billion years for each day, or one year for each day, or 24 hours for each day. I suppose she came to this because when Tribulation occurs, the Bible talks about a "week" of trials. Through some process my tiny mind is not aware of, Bible scholars deduced that each "day" of the week will equal one year.

But, yeah, it's a pretty cool concept to think about. And, frankly, it makes me feel a heck of a lot better about debating the matter.

SO ANYWAY BACK ON TASK

Mara should kill of DJ in some sadist way of pissing off Krista. ;D
JUST KIDDING I LOVE YOU PLATONICALLY KRISTA 8D

P. S. OK, I looked it up in the urban dictionary, very funny, Mara, veery funny.

Rachel, it's a simple, but a very good way to say it - nothing comes out of nothing. There are such basic scientific and philosophic laws - the matter and energy of our Universe couldn't come out of nothing. Furthermore, information required for evolution of any kind of system also couldn't come out of nothing, it must come from some outer source. So, these laws show us that to make existence of anything available there must be an ultimate source for it. And such a source could be only absolute God.

Gwen, the real construction of our world is complicated, I don't think that even modern scientists would be able to understand the whole thing.
Modern Christians, obviously, have a lot of problems with the first verses of the Bible. Lets just say there that translation in some places changes the meaning of the text, besides, some details are metaphorical. Don't forget that it was written many thousands year ago in a very simple form.
For example, if we take Genesis 1:5, it has no sense or logic, unless you know something about ancient Hebrew. What is The Light there? Jesus Christ calls himself the Light what means that He gives love, information and everything needed for life, because He is the son of God. What is translated in this verse as evening originally meant obscurity, mixture and morning meant becoming discernible, perception of order. Then, the first day can be translated as the first age, or period of creation, development of the things, performed by God's Light.

If we want to talk about it further, we probably should make a topic for it.
