Just a thought, Mara, but have you ever considered drawing the TOSOT gang, adults AND kids, in Christmassy attire?? The thought just suddenly crossed my mind.

You mean non-chibi? Sadly, a pic like that would require me to draw 10+ people in the same image, which I've NEVER done before. If I were to draw the whole cast, it would be on a cover poster (not a themed drawing). Buuuut I can't do any of that, because I have TWO secret santas to draw for, commissions to do, and a present to make for my cousin.

You could give a Xmas themed TOSOT drawing a whirl, though! I'd love to see the characters in your style!

Or, if you'd like a less ambitious suggestion, I'd love to see your interpretation of the kids in their space suits! (Especially since I never drew the boys).

I meant any of them, not all of them at once! XD I might take a shot at it; who knows?? Though, the tubing part of the suits(FJ/Aurora) will be kinda difficult for me to draw. Note the headshot drawing of FJ I did once with more long-ish hair than he usually has...

And I never got around to finishing my version of that...lol

But that was because I couldn't figure out how to draw a properly proportioned body and the Open Canvas trial I downloaded wouldn't save half the time. I hope sometime soon I can get around to finishing it though. But no promises.

Hmm...on second reading, I'm wondering if I should just cut out the whole "racing on the floating chairs" sequence in the chapter A Lesson in Gorlock Table Manners. It's basically pointless.

God, the beginning of TOSOT is just so BAD...I don't know how you people like it

Hey, I found that scene drop-dead HILARIOUS!!! I think it should be left in! To me, taking that out of TOSOT is like taking out the first half hour of WLK!!

Yeah, if you're trying to edit TOSOT, I wouldn't take out much. Fans already have seen it, and they'll miss scenes if they get axed. It's not like a novel, where no one has really seen it yet, and you're free to mess with it and rearrange it as you wish. I'd just concentrate on editing the writing itself.

LOL, don't worry. Basically I'm just trying to tweak a few sentences here and there to improve the flow (and correct a few continuity issues that probably no one noticed but are the inevitable product of writing a story over 5 years. You start to forget what you wrote). I've gone over 39 pages so far, and have removed less than 1 page of text total, so that's not a lot. I just removed a couple of filler lines and shortened some sentences to make them more concise.
One thing I do want to change, however (and this is something I wanted to work in for years but never did, because I didn't do it in the beginning and thought it would be awkward to introduce it half way through). I want the kids to call Dictator Jimmy "DJ" like the fandom does, after Sheen makes a stupid offhand comment about him being the "Disc jockey of evil" or whatever (I dunno, I'll come up with something). And then at some point I want Aurora to slip up and refer to him as DJ when talking to the kids, and then be like " What have you done to me?"

Ya.
But I'm lazy, and generally get sick of editing after about 15 minutes. Mostly because I know my time would be better spent coming up with something new. But curse that perfectionistic streak of mine...
