What date do you want this in by? Is there any specific deadline that we procrastinators should probably write down?

Yeah, ok.
Ok.......
Yeah. Can't process it.
Right. My ridiculousness aside, I have absolutely no idea now. No idea what to do 'cuz the best fanfic ever is over.
In all honesty, Mara, it was all worth the wait. Ha, I remember the days when I came in every single day to find out if you updated.
I expected the Apocalypse once TOSOT got over. Guess I was wrong.
I will soon expect my questions to be answered.

HOOOOLY SHIT...I finally finished compiling the paragraph format version, and it is FOUR HUNDRED AND THREE MOTHERF*%^ING PAGES long. I cannot even fathom that.
Oh my God. I have my editing work cut out for me
~*Mara*~ = ^.^ =
That's what happens when you write a fanfic for five years. It gets long. (Is that what she said? xP)
On that note, something I've always wondered: Why did you write this fic in script format first, instead of going straight to paragraph format?

Hello IDOJ world! I'm back, because I noticed TOSOT is FINALLY done! I can't believe it... (when I started reading, it was 2007 and only 1 1/2 parts were out)
So yeah. Wow.
[Also, I know I'm semi-late, but whatever.]
GG123's SURVEY:
Faves!
1) What part of the story did you most enjoy?
Volume 2 in general is full of greatness, but "Behind The Mask" is my favorite, because of Aurora's description of the mask as a symbol of her existence. Four/five years later, I still remember it.
2) What’s your favorite line/quote from the story?
From Volume 5, "Suffer the Fate of Atlantis:"
NAV: All right! Are you guys ready to GET WET?
APRIL: ...Nav, your innuendo does not impress anyone.
NAV: Um, that wasn’t meant to be innuendo...
APRIL: ...
Nothing like subverted innuendo.
3) What, in your opinion, is Mara's greatest strength as a writer (characterization, sensory descriptions, etc.)? What could she improve on? (and no, "omg you're perfect don't change anything" doesn't count as an answer)
Strength: Your vivid descriptions/vocabulary. Especially in Volume 5. I just noticed this, because lack of such is MY weakness ^^'. Also, the way you develop characters is extremely tight. It's easy to understand their motivations for doing what they do, even if I don't agree with them.
Weakness: While your vocabulary is good, sometimes it's too good. One or twice, I took a double-take, because an eleven-year old used a word straight out of a college paper. Though I suppose it's justified in Jimmy and FJ's case (and to a lesser extent, Cindy and Aurora), since THEY are genuiuses.
Also, why is everyone so snarky?
Characters
1) Who is your favorite male character, and why? (If you absolutely can’t pick one, name your top two)
Probably Jimmy, because I really like "boy-genius" characters that are limited by their naivety (Because he's, you know, eleven). You did a good job in protraying that.
2) How about your favorite female character (same goes for this one)?
Aurora, hands down. Partly because she's a cool fighter that "doesn't afraid of anything," but also because of her inner struggles and how she faced them.
3) Who is your least favorite character, and what made you dislike him/her?
Nav. Yes, I know he's all hilarious and cute and quirky and all that. My dislike is more because some of his quips are annoying, and meta-wise, he's kind of overrated.
4) In your view, what character in the story grew the most/had the most challenges to overcome? Who had it the easiest?
I think the kids, while not being emotionally screwed up, had a lot to go through, since they had to adjust from a preteen's life to...whatever the adults' life can be called (f'ed up?).
As for who had it the easiest, I think Lee had the fewest challenges to overcome. (Wait? He doesn't count?) Then Future Libby, since she doesn't have (for the most part) all the emotional issues the other adults had.
Character Relationships
1) What was your favorite pairing (canon or otherwise)?
Jimmy/Cindy, though FJ/Aurora is a very close second.
2) How about your least favorite?
Nav/April (*shrugs*)
3) Fave crack pairing?
Future Carl/Future Libby. Yes, I went there.
4) What was your favorite shipping moment?
The Sheen/Libby moment in "Red Flower in an Ocean of White." So simple, yet so sweet.
5) Were there any pairings that you wanted to see happen that didn’t?
Maybe Lee/April, if they aren't official? (Of course, I'm a sucker for childhood friends being shipped together.
6) Which friendship did you like best? (ex: Aurora/FL, Aurora/April, etc.)
How about the kids' friendship? "Six Stars At Twilight" is an amazing scene because of that.
7) Is there anything that sticks out in your mind about the way TOSOT portrays women vs. men?
Both genders seem to have their strong and weak characters, which is pretty rare in media today. Go equality!
JN Universe
1) In your opinion, which future character seemed to be the most realistic version of their younger counterpart? Who was more of a stretch?
DJ. If his dialogue indicates anything, it's that he really is a genius. I think personality-wise, Future Libby is a stretch (though for the most part, you did good in this category).
2) Which character from the JN gang was best portrayed? Worst portrayed?
I liked how Cindy was protrayed, because I know how tempting it is to make her OOC.
3) Who do you think changed the most as a result of the adventure?
Despite what he says at the end, I think Jimmy has learned to be careful with inventions, lest he create another world-destroying device.
4) What plot point was the best “tie-in†with the TV show?
The Megalomanium spray from The Tomorrow Boys.
“Stuff You’d See on Your English Test†(*GROAN*)
1) What are some of the major themes you see at work in this story? (Themes are broad, overarching concepts – for example: the nature of evil, redemption, etc.)
Motivation. Specifically, how it drives each character to act the way they act, n matter what seems more "rational" or "right."
Relationships. There is a great deal of focus on the friendships between specific characters - Aurora and April, Future Libby and Aurora, the kids in general - as well as the more standard "relationships" (even though most certainly aren't traditional!)
2) If you had to pick ONE word to describe what the story is “aboutâ€, what would it be?
"Consequences."
Miscellaneous
1) Which illustration is your favorite? (post a link or describe it)
The top illustration for "Two Hearts, One Mind" (the one where Jimmy and Cindy's heads are blending together). I like the
contrasting colors.
2) Look-wise, who has the best character design?
Aurora. Even if she does look like Samus Aran...
3) If you’re a fangirl/fanboy, who is the object of your affections and why? If you’re not a fangirl/boy, pretend you are anyway and answer the question.
I will pretend to fangirl over Future Sheen, because his of his character design (second-favorite?). Though his crazy personality doesn't hurt any.
Final Comments:
Is this my favorite fanfic?
...Hmmm...
...
ONE of my favorites, definitely. Nice work!
