I can sort of understand that feeling. It must be difficult to continue on something when you're so tempted to forget it and move on to your next project. I guess the only current motivation you can have is how much the fans want to see the end, and for you to make the final outcome (after all these years working on it) the best it can be. But, still, I'll be happy FOR YOU when its done. What a relief off your back.I've just...lost interest in TOSOT. It's difficult to finish something when you've moved on mentally.

But yes, I owe it to my fans and to my past self to finish properly.

Somehow, I feel I may have had an unconscious "auroral" involvement in this.
Even after 4 years, I wasn't sick of it...until I came to New Zealand. Something about being in a new country made me realize that it's time for me to move on with my life, writing-wise.
But yes, I owe it to my fans and to my past self to finish properly.

I think changes in a writer's environment REALLY plays a key role in his art. Sometimes a simple change in scenery is all that it takes to change a writer's view on his work, Mara. If I may be bold to observe, I think the beauty and peaceful serenity of New Zealand has somehow "mellowed" your drive to perfect, finish the story. You're not around a stressful, active environment around much like back in the US. I dunno. Just offering my $0.02 here.

MARA: I'm afraid I'm just full of myself, and that I think my writing is good, but it's actually crap...

Actually, I think it's rather the opposite. Living in a foreign country by myself, hanging out only with people my own age, traveling and going out to the baaaah and the like...I feel like I'm growing up a bit. Now that I'm in my senior year of college, I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for the real world, and that includes what I want to do with my writing talents and ultimately the rest of my life. I need to start casting off some of my old self in order to facilitate the development of the new.
It's a time of great change for me, and I feel like, in some way, TOSOT is holding me back. The prospect of it being over with, though, is both scary and extremely desirable lol.

But I'm happy for you, Mara. It's good that you're so close to the end when you're ready to move on, right?

How would you guys feel about me posting the next chapter here, since the mainsite is still down? It's quite large, and very important plotwise...should I wait?
~*Mara*~ = ^.^ =
I say wait 24 hours-ish. If the main site isn't up by then, then you post it on here, but that's just me.

Adorable! I love it for so many reasons! Gosh, I miss Karin!

Anyway, about the installment, what Crys said sounds about right. If its a really important installment than maybe it'd be best on the mainsite, unless you really can't get it there any time soon. But, its your choice. As much as I'd LOVE an epic, important TOSOT installment before the summer's out, I can wait for whats' best.
