I understand exactly how Cindy feels, perhaps that's why I love her so much (that doesn't mean I approve everything she does).
She mocks Jimmy because he stole her status of 'girl genius', and I agree that's not right and etc, but she's just a kid!
Then, she starts developing feelings for the boy she was supposed to hate. Believe or not, Cindy is AFRAID of showing her soft side... she looks and acts like a badass because she can't stand being so vulnerable in front of everybody else. We can see this in Stranded when she says to Jimmy 'and I know I'm not supposed to like you, but being here on this island, away from school, grades, makes me realise how ridiculous that is. You're a really cool person'. When she's alone with Jimmy, on the island, she feels secure enough to relax and to be more straightforward, not afraid of judgments or anything else. She is shy - even though she doesn't look like.
Anyway, I love Cindy
She rules!
Finally! My favorite character too, and I agree with everything you wrote here. I always have loved Cindy because she seems more realistic and relatable than Betty. And Cindy as her own person is pretty damn amazing too, she can be really finny at times, and when her shy side shines through, she's adorable.

Urvy, I must confess that I don't know why, but I always liked this kind of character (like Helga, Rei - Sailor Moon -, Akane - Ranma 1/2, etc etc)... I admire all of them because, though they don't have the best temper ever (sort of like me), they love passionately and they're strong and dynamic female characters.
Since I'm little I love this kind of female character.![]()
When I saw the JN movie for the first time, I had no doubt that Cindy was amazing
Yeah characters like these are always my favorites too, probably because they hide their true feelings and they're strong and cool female characters. Helga and Cindy in particular, as well as Sam from ICarly, are all great examples of girls who don't have an excellent home life, and still manage to be amazing girls. Cindy for me is very inspirational- she strives to be the best in everything she can. There's nothing wrong in a little competition, after all she never really physicaly hurts Jimbo, and calling him Nerdtron can't really be called emotional abuse. Sure, she can lay off sometimes, but she's a mixed up eleven year old. At eleven, I was a bigmouth too

That just seems like a very big 'what if', Urvy. Seriously, competitiveness =/= recipe for insanity. But, what if years of trying to be the best catch up with her when she gets older then bam, she goes insane?
Now, on-topic. I can see how someone could like J/B, but to me they just...never seemed like an actual alternative to J/C. As has been said, she just kinda seems like a plot point more than a character. She's a nice person, but there really isn't anything on her beyond that. No real motivations, no fleshing-out of any of her connections to anyone other than Jimmy...I don't really think the writers thought about her much, TBH.
Although that does give we the fandom a lot of wiggle room in terms of her character, which can be fun.

Also, we could have more of Betty with another season if it wasn't for a certain stale talking sponge that hogged the spotlight...

And it wasn't JUST Spongebob that killed JN. You can't blame everything on the sponge.
He's not THIS bad, is he?

I doubt Jimmy would have a chance of winning against Cindy, that's why I like Jimmy being with Betty than a agressive girl like Cindy.

Dude, Jimmy can invent Nanobots that have the ability to wipe out the entire population of Planet Earth. If he wanted to squish Cindy, I'm pretty sure he could.

So, do you like it when people vilify Betty and other characters? Look what the author of Cupcakes did to Pinkie Pie! If people vilify Betty and Pinkie Pie, then Cindy can be vilified too, it's called being even.
