Word on the Avatar TLA / LoK FB fan page that Legend Of Korra Book 2: Spirits get a release day in July! Thoughts?

Yeah, I got the same message on FB. Problem is, dunno if that's true or not. Originally the date was wrong, being set in mid-April. Of course if this is true, I cannot wait. (: I'm excited to see what else they have come up with.
'Course, I hope it is a bit less romantic, seeing as they already have an amazing plot line going for them. Hopefully I can avoid the flames here, but I really hope something huge happens with Mako. I'd love to see some sort of plot wit him. HE HAS POTENTIAL OK.
Hjkfhhvhjvhj. I have high expectations for this book.

First few minutes of Book 2. ^^

I'm neutral as to this trailer. It looks neat, but Book One was just so disappointing, that I don't really have much in the way of expectations for Book Two. Maybe it'll end up being awesome and I'll love it. But I didn't care about anyone except Lin in Book One, so that makes it hard to feel excited about seeing the cast of characters again.

 

To be clear, I don't think Book Two will suck. I just don't know what to think. Thus: neutral. Not pumped for it, but not dreading it. Just waiting to see how it goes this time around.

Yeah, I was definitely more excited about LOK before it aired, but I don't think Book One was disappointing as a whole. It's mostly the last episode that I really disliked, the other stuff I know could have been dealt with better if there had been more episodes--which would have been the case had Nickelodeon ordered more episodes earlier in the development/airing process. I'm not sure how I feel about the actual story they're exploring here. At the moment, I'm mostly excited for the art and the music, because I think the Book One music was fantastic, and the animation was very good. The trailer and the sneak peek of the first two minutes have great backgrounds, lighting, and angles. If nothing else, I'll be appreciating the effort the animators put into this thing *shrug*

 

I am keeping my fingers crossed that this will be better-paced than Book One, though, because we all know there will be four in all, so they can take more time to complete story arcs.

Don't put that out for the fangirls... They did pretty drastic things when he was just an angsty pretty boy... but if they see him in all his new fabulous bedazzled glory... well, it may mean a fangirl armageddon...
