Chapter 11

At home that night, I thought about my day I had with Torie.

It had been a fun day for the both of us, and we had really enjoyed getting to like each other.

I kept staring out the window at her house. I saw a light on in her bedroom. If only she would look out and see me I could wave to her.

At dinner Dad asked me how my day was with the new neighbors.

"Torie and Morris are really great," I said.

"That's nice," Dad said.

Just then I remembered something. I never asked Torie if she wanted to watch Ultralord with me!

I could invite her over that same night and we could watch Ultralord and pig out on sugar and candy and get all hyper and go on a sugar rush.

As soon as dinner was over, I rushed over to her house.

I was jumping up and down with excitement as her mom came to the door.

"Hello, Sheen," she said.

"Mrs. Hutchinson I need to talk to Torie quickly!" I exclaimed.

"Okay, calm down," she said.

She went to get Torie who came to the door.

"Sheen? What are you doing here? We just spent a whole day with together, and I really enjoyed it, but I want time with my family now," she said.

My smile faded.

"Oooh," I said glumly.

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"There's and Ultralord marathon on TV tonight again, and I wanted you to come over and watch it with me and eat sugar and candy and get all hyper with me," I said.

"Look, Sheen. You have to understand I want time with my family too. I'll definitely watch the marathon tonight and we can talk about it together tomorrow, okay?" she asked.

"Okay," I said glumly.

Then I waved good-bye and went back to my house.

I then called Libby.

"Hey Libby you want to come over and watch UltraLord with me?"

"Sheen, you know I don't like Ultralord that much, but maybe I'll take a glimpse at one episode though, and we can talk about it omorrow."

"Okay," I said.

I was watching Ultralord, Torie was going to watch it, and so was Libby. So tomorrow all three of us could talk about it together.
