You are entitled to you opinion but how would you feel if someone wrote something like what you wrote in Cindy's topic? Calling Cindy shallow? At the very least if you want to bash a character please do so in the flaming section please.
Btw: she isn't shallow and definitely isn't trying to ruin Cindy's life -_-

JCFreak, that was really rude to say. Lots of people like Betty. If you want to bash Betty, then please go to the flaming section, specifically meant for that purpose.

I'm not saying you can't flame Betty, but it's not very nice, and it upsets people. :(

Please guys, I made this topic and I knew there was going to be bashing and/or flaming. But instead of reporting her and trying to get her banned, why not try talking to her. I know some of you did just try to talk but please, that is that girl's opinion and it should be respected. Unless of course, that wasn't her opinion and she just wanted to get us pissed... Well, the right thing to do would be to let it go and move on. She said it, and we can't change our actions. We can cover them up, but we can't change them. So please, try to be a little more considerate.

I never have hated her or disliked her. She's the popular and beautiful girl who Jimmy just happens to have a crush on. (and by the way "Girl next door" was brilliant!) She never told Cindy to get out of her way. Ok, once she did, but I would've too if some girl just kept on bugging me about something when they're just jealous and stuff.

Even though I don't support J/B, I don't dislike Betty at all. I am a 100% fan for J/C and although Betty did get in the way a few times, she did make Cindy jealous, which started to develop into something more. So, as said before, we should be thankful for that. I don't see why people hate her so much...not like she's one of those backstabbing, snobby girls who just spell out evil, she's just a normal girl trying to live a normal life.

I think maybe when I get a good amount of Betty clips I'll make a J/B clip!

Thanks so much! I'm glad to see you don't hate her, that's why I'm happy with the majority of people here, hardly anyone really hates her here, & its easily the safest place a J/B fan could be, no doubts about it. ^_^

& I agree with you about Betty, she's not in any possible way snobby or hateful, she's just normal, & tries to live a normal life. She just happened to become popular due to her personality. & that was also why Jimmy started to like her, because of said personality, & then of course her beauty, I would be surprised if those weren't his reasons.

Now I do respect J/C, probably more than any other couple I've even seen, but its just when you see THAT much support, (though its perfectly fine) that many episodes devoted to it, & hardly anything at all of J/B, plus the love/hate thing, its just hard for me to truly enjoy it when there's that much evidence, & its that big a love/hate relationship.

I've really never been fond of love/hate issuses, (aside from Ryo/Rika & Arnold/Helga) & J/C is by far the most that I'm just touchy with.

I mean, when you don't enjoy it to begin with, you just can't grasp the idea of, whether their growing up or not, your favorite male lead just forgetting all about his dream girl, then forgiving & forgetting everything his school rival has treated him & done to him, (I know its to hide her feelings, but still..) & just acting all goo-goo eyed over his former rival.

Another is her recent changes.

Yes, Cindy's maturing, but its just an instant switch between hating/secretly crushing on her rival, to 'woo-ing' him, being all wrapped up in the idea of actually dating him & so forth.

Its just too big a change, too fast.

If the writers had taken a more casual, slower change to get to this level, like an episode showing what caused this very big changes in personal views, or similar, then I would've understood the huge difference.

I mean, just look at the differences in 'My Big Fat Soy Wedding' & 'Lady Sings The News'.

Yes, J/C hints in MBFSW, but you could tell they had changed majorly in between those episodes. Its just confusing without an episode explaining this.

Stranded did explain it some, but they still had their 'hate' moments afterwards, like hardly anything had changed.

It just doesn't seem understandable since King of Mars & Lady Sings THe News came out of nowhere.

I get what you're saying about the sudden change between the two. I agree...they should've had some more JxB moments. I didn't get to see the episode when they actually kiss...I've seen it in music videos though. It's supposedly a "thanks for saving us" kiss or something like that, but I think they both got different thoughts about that. ;) The thing about their couple relationship is that they didn't show Betty enough to get a full good 3 minutes for a music video.

By the way, I loved the couple in Hey Arnold! (AxH) It's so funny when they kiss in the movie and Arnold looks so lost. *sighs* So cute!

Back to the topic...I'm really impressed how dedicated to the pairing of JxB you are! ^.^ You're the leader of the fan club (I think that's what it is...) for JxB aren't you? I saw your site yesterday and its really cute! :) hehe.

Your right about them not showing Betty enough, if I wanted to do a decent lengthed video for them, I'd have to sketch/trace several JxB moments, or some random poses to make it JxB, in order to make a decent lengthed video for them.

This idea shouldn't have been tossed out so early, Betty's possibly the sweetest (by sweet I mean by outward personality, I know Cindy is deep down too :)) girl in the whole series, & they didn't even give Jimmy a decent chance with her. Yet they literally SHOVED Jimmy together with Cindy, as you'd notice in comparing episodes like Trading Faces & Stranded, its the real reason I'm so annoyed by it.

Another is the way Cindy treats Jimmy, in comparison with Betty. I know & understand its to cover up her true feelings, but she could be friends with him & still cover them up just as well. Look at Sam & Danny from DP!

Betty on the other hand, she's just plain an angel to Jimmy. So sweet, kind, caring & understanding with him, exactly what he needs as a permanent girlfriend & wife!

J/C CAN be friends, & Jimmy'd get everything he needs from her still. Like I've mentioned before.

I know, its not your fault, its the writers'. They thought JxC is what EVERY SINGLE JN fan in the galaxy wanted, & didn't give a second thought of whether their might be a reasonable number of JxB'ers out there.

Its depressing, to say the least, but I don't want to argue. Instead, I'll just write fanfictions & do other things to support Jimmy/Betty! :)

Hey, I said anything in that MSN page is for public use, didn't I? But its true you should have common courtisy & ask the original owner of the graphic first before using it. Like myself for the avatar, & Amras Felagund for the sig pic. Wouldn't hurt to ask first ya'know.

& for whenever this user said she deserved to be the leader, sorry, but we already voted awhile back, fair & square. You can't just try for someone else's title or anything, not when they won it fair & square.

Besides, if J/B'ers hate seeing J/B bashed or flamed, or at least talked mean about, then why do that to J/C? Don't ya'know J/Cers (large number of them here, but their cool people either way ^^) will just fire back if their ticked off enough.

Yeah, & I don't want to start a flame war either, (hates them with a passion <_<) but just to point something out:

Did Cindy show at least some type of hesitation about wanting to kiss Jimmy? Naturally. Did Betty? Not an inch. B)

I'm not saying Cindy never wanted to kiss Jimmy, but most times, it was kinda forced on her, like someone, or something else came up with the idea, not her. Betty came up with the idea of kissing Jimmy all on her own, nobody told her too.

Lights, Camera, Danger!: it was in the script.

WLK: I won't argue on this one, she did.. sorta start implying on that kiss, but, I still have to note that Betty never showed any hesitation in either time she kissed him. That ODS kiss.. no one told her to, she just.. did it. Same with PaN's, she just.. went ahead & kissed him. :)

I'd just rather we be friends & not argue on this, you have your opinion & I have mine. Neither of us plan on changing our opinions anytime soon, so let's just leave it as it is, ok? :)
