Betty Quinlan is the popular, boyfriend-stealing prom queen. To most people. To others she's a misunderstood, boyfriend-loving, shy, pretty, and normal person. I personally do not have a particular liking for her but I know some people on these boards do. The first person that comes to mind is NekoGirl. If you've seen ANY of her posts, you would know that she's a full on B/J N/C (Nick and Cindy) supporter and there's nothing wrong with that. So try not to hog the board NekoGirl! lol JK

I loved the music video,"Girl Next Door!" Ally did a great job! :D It was a love triangle thing between Betty,Cindy, and of course Jimmy. I think she is a little misunderstood, but I still don't really like her. No offense to anyone.

Thanks Gwen, I think that making this thread shows you have respect for Betty even though you dislike her, & I'm that way about J/C, just cause I dislike it, doesn't mean I can't respect it. So thanks! ^_^

Now on the two music videos that actually feature Betty as a main character, are both anti-J/B, (obviously), but despite this, Ally (& whoever owns the Sk8ter Boi MV) did a really great job with the music video, but maybe someone should branch out into a few pairings aside from J/C.

You know my suggestions would be to try an honest J/B music video, but that's just me. Though all Jimmy Neutron MVs I've seen so far on Youtube.com are pretty awesome, I'd just like to see at least 1 J/B music video, that'd make my day even more! ^_^

Anyways, thanks a bunch for making this thread, I'm just glad that people here have accepted my liking the J/B shipping, & I figure that's cause I have a great respect for J/C, I just don't enjoy it like everyone else. ;) :)

Betty as a character is pretty good with me.

She's always really nice, and there is no evidence towards the fact that she is crude to anyone, besides Vanishing Act. But I don't think that she was purposely being that way, I think she was just a little POed that Cindy was getting on her case.

Everyone gets like that once and awhile, but Betty managed to handle the situation pretty maturely.

Some time ago, actually. But like I said, I prefer honest Jimmy/Betty fan-work over anything else.

Same goes for Nick/Cindy, but that's getting off topic.

Anyways, I don't just like Betty because she's part of J/B, but for every part of her character. I mean c'mon, WHERE in the show has she ever been shallow, rude, or just plain hateful? NOT ONCE!!

Ok, that chat in Vanishing Act WAS a little.. off for Betty, but like -Krista said, it was probably ONLY because Cindy was getting very annoying to her.

& with that tone of voice & anger in Cindy's words, wouldn't anyone let that get to them??

Either way, I honestly don't think Betty really meant what she said to Cindy about Jimmy, just read -Krista's dedication fic, Dreaming, (link found in my sig! :D) to see what I'm talking about. & again, thanks so much for that fanfic -Krista!! ^_^

Well, truth be told, any hardcore J/C fan is gonna DESPISE Betty for obvious reasons. I think she's okay, and that she was meant to be the popular girl that most people disliked, but I'm not the writers so I don't know. Eh. I'm just J/C to the maximum. I respect her as a character, even if she's not one of my favorites.

Exactly why I stay AWAY from the Jimmy Neutron section at FF.net, Betty has shown absolutely NO reasons within the show to be hated SO much by thefans.

I mean really, Betty's hated even more so than Trixie Tang from Fairly OddParents!! I find this VERY irritating, (one way of putting it) at the very best. :angry:

I DO like Trixie Tang as well, but I also have given the Timmy/Tootie shipping a chance too, in fact, I'd never be able to choose between those two particular Timmy pairings, to be exact. & I have my reasons, but I won't list them here, for that would be going off-topic.

But still, I WILL say this much, "Just The Two Of Us" NEVER HAPPENED! Now get over that hateful, degrading version of Trixie & PLEASE review her MUCH better episodes, "A Wish Too Far", & "A Boy Who Would be Queen". Let's forget ALL ABOUT "Just The Two of Us", OKAY?? <_<

Yes, exactly why Betty's my fave female character on the show, she's so much nicer than Cindy & treats Jimmy far better than Cindy ever has.

Even when Cindy tries flirting with him, (King of Mars) she's STILL fighting with Jimmy occasionally, I don't see how that could be the start of a GOOD, longterm relationship. But that's just me. ;)

As for why Betty's so tall? No real idea actually, unless it's because she's supposed to be the "most popular female" in the school, & most girls that fit this bill are usually the tallest female there, & typically the crush of the main character.

But BIG difference between Betty & those prima donnas, she's nice & kind! Not stuck-up & snobbish like most in this catagory are made out to be. :)

Part of why I like Betty over Cindy, she's always been nice to Jimmy himself & would never actually think about hurting him. ^_^

Quite honestly I use to dislike her, not hate just dislike. But (just imo :) ) J/C were always meant to be together so I just let my dislike for Betty go. I mean she never did anything wrong, she didn't ask Jimmy to get a crush on her and I don't think she really meant to make Cindy jealous on purpose. So I've just let it go and am now okay with her ^_^ But to each his/her own :D

Betty...Ahh...She's a hard one. To any diehard J/C shipper like myself, we dislike her, simply because Jimmy has a crush on her. However, to judge her as a character, I'd say I like her a lot. She has black hair (pathetic reason, but I do too, and I love the blackenettes), she's actually very kind and motivational and sweet. She's not a typical mean girl like most of the other love intrests of the male lead are. I really actually like her, but I don't, because she's interfering with J/C. All in all, I tolerate her.

I mean, she only brought Jimmy and Cindy closer together by making Cindy jealous. LOL.

I'm glad that you don't hate her, but keep in mind that she wasn't intentionally interfering with JxC, I mean, she didn't actually ask Jimmy to devolp his crush on her, now did she?

He couldn't help it. I mean, when all the other girls in his school & at his age were just picking on him, Betty was nice, sweet & kind to him. Plus there's the whole "prettiest girl in school" thing. No, that's not what I believe the whole of the JxB relationship revolves around.

I think, that when Jimmy first moved to Retroville in 3rd grade, (TV.com's userguide says he did) I'd imangine he was at a young age & with every one of the other girls picking on him, he couldn't help but devolp his crush on Betty, probably because she might've helped him out at first, so he saw how nice & kind she was in comparison to the other girls, & THEN he saw her beauty.

So as you can see, if this had been the scenario, Jimmy wouldn't have been able to help it. It just happened. It's not his fault Betty was nice to him when everyone else wasn't. & it wasn't Betty's either. That's just her nature, to be kind, thoughtful, & caring towards those that she meets & convereses with.

That's how I believe the crush started. & although I've no right to claim that JxB's relationship will continue, (which I can tell it won't, but still..) I can still believe that it will, & hope that Betty someday has a chance to win Jimmy's love & not Cindy.

To -Krista: You might have something there, Betty didn't drive them apart, she, (although I dislike this factor) only brought them closer together.

So yeah, JxCers SHOULD be more grateful to Betty for that reason. :)
