This wasn't on ff.net, nor did I find the link there. This fanfic was linked off Deviantart...which usually has some decent stuff. In fact, the ff.net version was the one I SHOULD have read, since it wasn't monstrously X-rated.

Ohhh, I know how you feel. Once, I saw a fanfic that was VERY graphic, and the rating was TOO low. I felt sick to my stomach after finishing it. :drool:

Ahoy, I be back from arrditions. (LOL) :lol:

My song went pretty well (I sang "there's a hole in the bottom of the sea", in which each progressive verse is sung faster than the one before it) and I knocked 'em dead with the improvisation part of the audition. They caught me off guard, though, when they suddenly handed me a sheet with lyrics on it, started singing, and wanted me to break into a solo at various parts. I can't sing songs I don't know without mangling the key, so I pretty much sounded like a dying cat. Maybe they'll forget about that though and remember my stunning pirate outfit and my easy-to-remember pirate name, Rum (Hey, I thought it was funny). One of the guy pirates was like "do ye anticipate any confusion if one of us were to say 'pass the rum'." It was pretty hilarious. :ahoy:

Anyway, I hope I make the group, because they were so funny and reminded me of all my improv buddies back home (only wearing weird costumes LOL). Plus I'd have the opportunity to make some more friends and have the perfect excuse to dress up like an idiot and go out carousing around campus.

There, now you know my pain. I'm off to try out for "acapirate", Brown's only Pirate Singing group. They dress up and wander around campus singing festive sea shanties and swearin' and plunderin' and engagin' in other pirately activ'ties, as they see fit. So a word to the wise. Never, ever, EVER read the version of Temple of the Dog NOT found on fanfiction.net. Your eyes will bug out and you'll promptly collapse onto the floor in a sort of mini-seizure, before getting up and wandering around in a daze for the next couple of hours.
