Oh my gosh, guys. I am SO sorry that I took forever to write this chapter! Gah, writer's block is SO evil... <_< Anyway, I hope that its length'll make up for it. Also, I'm dedicating this chapter to Mandie, because she's the one that helped me FINALLY finish it. Hope everyone likes it!! And again, sorry for the really lame chapter title... :lol:"
Chapter Seventeen: It Takes Two...err, Three
**Future Cindy straightens and rigidly walks off into the kitchen, her expression cold and emotionless. Future Libby looks at her and then to Future Sheen, who shuffles along tiredly.**
FUTURE LIBBY: Sheen, doesn’t Cindy seem…different?
FUTURE SHEEN (looks up): Um, yeah, I guess. Wait, what do you mean?
FUTURE LIBBY: I mean she’s bein’ colder than the colder than the North Pole! Sheen, you really need to wake up some.
**Abruptly halting, Future Cindy sits down at a circular mahogany table with Future Libby and Future Sheen quickly following suit. Future Cindy slides a folder across to Future Libby, who looks at it and raises an eyebrow in confusion.**
FUTURE LIBBY: And this is…?
FUTURE CINDY (sternly): The plan so far. I thought it would be helpful if you two knew what we were doing.
**Future Libby and Future Sheen both look at each other quickly before Future Libby speaks.**
FUTURE LIBBY: Jeez, girl. What’s with you? You didn’t sound this serious when ya were talkin’ on the phone earlier.
FUTURE SHEEN: Yeah, you’re like some military general -- (Gets elbowed by Future Libby) Ow, Libbs.
FUTURE CINDY (standing up): What’s with me?! My husband and his younger self have both been captured! If Nathan…
**She pauses for a minute and swallows, lowering her voice. She sits down and looks over to Future Libby, her eyes flickering in melancholy.**
FUTURE CINDY (quietly): Guys, I didn’t tell our younger selves this, but if Nathan were to kill Jimmy’s past self, it would change the timeline drastically. There’s more at stake than they know.
FUTURE LIBBY: Wow. Cin, do ya really think Nathan would do that?
FUTURE CINDY (drumming her fingers on the table): No telling what he could do. He did have the audacity to barge in and rip my necklace off.
**She gently pulls down the collar of her turtleneck to reveal three perfect coral lines on her neck. She runs her hand across them and winces slightly.**
FUTURE CINDY: See? Libby, Sheen, Nathan’s not playing around this time.
FUTURE LIBBY: Whoa, whoa, hold up there. Girl, what even happened in the first place? You said you’d explain more if we came over. Besides, Sheen an’ I wanna know. Right, Sheen?
FUTURE SHEEN: Huh? Oh, um, yeah!
FUTURE CINDY (sighs and slumps in her seat): Fine. I’ll tell you two, but don’t interrupt me. It all started yesterday afternoon, around the time Jimmy had taken our younger selves to the Chrono-Arch so they could go back when there was a crash upstairs. Jimmy and I left our younger selves to work the Chrono-Arch while we went to investigate and that’s where the trouble started.
**Future Jimmy and Future Cindy both run up the stairs as quickly as they can, expecting the worse. As they burst through the door, everything seems eerily normal and silent. A soft noise comes from behind the pair and the quickly turn around, coming face-to-face with Nathan, who smiles cruelly.**
NATHAN: Ah, James and Cynthia. What a pleasant surprise.
FUTURE JIMMY (angrily): Nathan. I should’ve guessed. Why are you here?
**Nathan begins to pace slowly, and Future Cindy inches closer to Future Jimmy.**
NATHAN (arrogantly): Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy. Can’t someone visit their former co-worker without one of them assuming something’s wrong? You know, I’m hurt by that comment. I might just have to do something. Something for revenge.
**In one smooth motion, Nathan jerks Future Cindy’s wrist and pulls her towards him. She gives a shriek, and he keeps a firm grip on her shoulder incase she tries to get away.**
NATHAN: You wouldn’t any harm coming to your dear wife, would you?
FUTURE JIMMY: You wouldn’t dare…
NATHAN: Ah, but I would! And do you want to know how to keep her safe? Tell me what the access pass to your other lab is.
**Future Jimmy flicks his gaze over to Future Cindy, who looks more than a little flustered.**
FUTURE JIMMY: The pass is kept by someone very close to my heart and I don’t intend on letting you have it.
NATHAN (flashing a cruel grin): Close to your heart, you say? Maybe it’s something having to do with Cindy here. Maybe something you’ve given her.
**Nathan pauses for a moment, his eyes coming to rest on Future Cindy’s necklace. A look of panic washes over Future Cindy’s face as Nathan begins to reach for the chain. He grasps the chain in his hand, ripping it off of Future Cindy’s neck and clawing her in the process. Nathan shoves Future Cindy away from him, and Future Jimmy barely catches her from falling. Nathan gives the two one last malicious smile before he disappears into a room down the hall.**
FUTURE CINDY: Now do you two see why I’m so upset?
FUTURE SHEEN: Yeah, I do… Hey, do you have any nachos around here?
**Future Cindy regards him carefully for a moment, and Future Libby shakes her head slightly at his comment.**
FUTURE LIBBY: Cin, Sheen an’ I will help ya. We’ll beat Nathan, no problem.
**She gives a smile as Future Cindy’s eyes light up a little. Future Libby grins widely as an idea pops into her head.**

Oh my gosh, guys. I am SO completely sorry for taking so long with this chapter. Anyway, I finally finished it...but it's complete crap, so yeah, consider yourselves warned. XD' OK, here's the chapter...if anyone is still reading.
Chapter Eighteen: Spy Fashion 101
FUTURE CINDY (smiling slightly): Really? What is it?
FUTURE LIBBY (ginning widely): A make-over!
**Future Cindy’s smile drops as she gives Future Libby a skeptical look.**
FUTURE CINDY: Libby, I don’t know if we have time for that.
FUTURE LIBBY: C’mon, it’ll be fun! And girl, you can’t go ‘round spyin’ without the proper clothes, right?
FUTURE CINDY: I guess… But what about our younger selves?
FUTURE LIBBY (grinning): Oh, don’t worry ‘bout them! Sheen’ll keep ‘em entertained, right Sheen?
**Both of them look over to Future Sheen, who looks tired and like he could fall asleep any second. Future Libby goes over to him and snaps her fingers in front of his face.**
FUTURE SHEEN (shooting up suddenly): Huh? Did you say something, Libby?
FUTURE LIBBY (shakes her head and smiles): Sheen, can ya keep an eye on our younger selves while Cindy an’ I do somethin’ upstairs?
FUTURE SHEEN: Yeah, sure! I’m the perfect person for the job!
FUTURE CINDY: Somehow I doubt that. But, fine. Come on, Libby.
**Future Libby gives an excited squeal and runs upstairs, grabbing Future Cindy’s hand. Future Sheen, however, tiredly walks into the living room where Cindy, Libby, Sheen and Carl are sitting.**
FUTURE SHEEN: So, ah, you guys know where Cindy keeps the nachos around here?
CINDY (slapping her hand to her forehead): Ugh, I couldn’t have gone with Future Libby and my future self?
FUTURE SHEEN (looks at Cindy): Nope, your future self is really upset right now. She said that if Nathan kills you guys’ Jimmy, the timeline’s in serious trouble.
**All four of the children seem to take the news as a shock, but Cindy seems to bear most of the burden from it. Her eyes cloud over as she numbly sits in one of the chairs.**
FUTURE SHEEN: I wasn’t supposed to tell you all that, was I?
**Meanwhile upstairs, Future Cindy -- oblivious to her past self’s sudden bad mood -- giggles as Future Libby swings a black feather boa around her neck. She also collapses in a fit of giggles as the boa slings into her mouth.**
FUTURE LIBBY (spitting out feathers): Okay, I suppose that feather boas aren’t the best fashion choice. Hey, Cin, what do ya think of this?
**She holds up a pair of black leggings with a matching black car coat. Future Cindy eyes the outfit unsurely.**
FUTURE CINDY: I dunno, Libby. Don’t you think that outfit looks a little too…fugitive for this?
FUTURE LIBBY: Oh come on, Cindy! Since when do you see the people traipsin’ ‘round in neon outfits when they’re tryin’ to be secret? And you’ll look amazin’ in this.
**Future Cindy shrugs and goes to try on the outfit. A few minutes later she comes out and shrugs slightly. She opens her mouth to speak, but Future Libby cuts her off.**
FUTURE LIBBY: Girl, ya look great. This is perfect for tonight.
FUTURE CINDY (laughing slightly): Libby, you’re making it sound like I’m going out instead of leading a rescue mission. But you were right -- this did cheer me up.
FUTURE LIBBY: Well, I’m glad it did. Hmm, wait. I think you should take your hair outta the bun for right now. It’d look better.
**Future Cindy sighs and pulls out her hair pins until her hair falls in a ponytail.**
FUTURE CINDY: Fine, but this is only for right now.
FUTURE LIBBY: Alright. C’mon, let’s go downstairs before your past self kills Sheen.
**Both of the women let out a brief laugh before heading down the stairs. They step into the living room, expecting chaos, but instead find that it is quiet.**
FUTURE CINDY (raising an eyebrow): Is everything okay down here?
FUTURE SHEEN: Actually, I --
CINDY (interrupting him): Everything’s fine. Future Me, what time are we going to try to do this?
FUTURE CINDY: Around nine tonight. It should be dark by then. Funny that you bring that up. I’ve actually changed one part in the plan.
LIBBY: What is it?
