[Chica_Andromeda]

Hello everybody and welcome to my fanfic, "No Time Like The Present"!! The pairings are J/C, S/L, and C/E. I hope you all enjoy it!!



Chapter One: The Arguement That Starts It All

**Peaceful. Serene. Calm. These are all words that can be used to describe the near perfect spring day in Retroville Park. That is, until two very loud voices are heard.**

JIMMY: If you actually think that I’m going let you use MY Chrono-Arch to see YOUR future, Vortex, then you are sadly mistaken.

CINDY: Ugh, you are being SO selfish. Besides, Libby and I just wanna see who we’ll be married to when we’re older.

**Sheen dashes over just as Jimmy is about to rebuke her and grabs him by the shoulders.**

SHEEN (overdramatically): WHAT?! Libby wants to come and you’re not gonna let her?! You madman!!

**Jimmy looks over to where Carl is standing.**

JIMMY: Hey Carl, do you want to go to the future, too?

CARL (looks up from the latest issue of Llamas Monthly): Um, is the future frightening?

JIMMY (rubbing his temples): No.

CARL: Well, sure.

**Cindy smirks at Jimmy triumphantly.**

CINDY: HA!! C’mon guys let’s go -- (gets interrupted by Sheen)

SHEEN: TO THE LAB!!!!!



Yes, I know this chapter was short. The others are longer, and I hope they're a little better. I'll have the next chapter up soon!!

Chapter Two: Enchiladas of the Future

CINDY: NO! To Libby’s house. I’m not going to the future without her.

SHEEN: I’ll get Libby!

JIMMY: Okay, Sheen. You get Libby and meet us back at my lab.

SHEEN (salutes Jimmy): I’m off!! TO LIBBY’S HOUSE!!!

**Sheen runs towards Libby’s house. Meanwhile at Libby’s house, Libby is sitting in her living room, watching The Men Pretending To Be Boys on TV, when she is interrupted by a loud knock on her door.**

SHEEN: LIBBY!! YOU GOTTA LET ME IN!!

**Libby sighs, gets up and answers the door.**

LIBBY: Hey Sheen. Why’d ya come here?

SHEEN: Libby! Jimmy’s gonna let us use his Chrono-Arch so we can go into the future!

LIBBY (shocked): Cindy actually got him to say yes?

SHEEN (nodding): Yup. Now c’mon! I wanna see what the enchiladas of the future are like!

**Pulls Libby out of her house and into Jimmy’s lab. The two are sucked down through the welcome mat and land on the floor.**

LIBBY (gets up): Ya really should put somethin’ there.

SHEEN: Yeah! Your floor hurt mi reina! Curse you, floor!!

**Cindy and Jimmy roll their eyes.**

CINDY: Can we PLEASE get going before Ultra-Loser goes even crazier?

JIMMY: Hey! Don’t insult him!

**This continues for about five minutes until…**

CARL (overdramatically): STOP FIGHTING!! IT’LL BE THE END OF OUR FRIENDSHIP!!!

**Everyone looks at Carl.**

SHEEN (laughing): Wow Carl! You should have seen everyone’s faces! You’ve gotta teach how to do that!!

**Libby steps in between Carl and Sheen just as Carl is about to answer.**

LIBBY: Before ya get to talkin’, can we please go to the future?

JIMMY: Fine. We’ll go on three. One…two…three!!

**Everyone goes through the Chrono-Arch. Cindy and Libby look around, shocked. There are hovercars and all kinds of futuristic technology. Carl, Jimmy and Sheen don’t look too shocked, considering they’ve already seen it.**

CINDY: Wow, this place is amazing!!

LIBBY: Yeah. I could definitely get used to this!

SHEEN: Yup, isn’t the future -- (sees an enchilada stand) Enchiladas!!

**Sheen runs over to the stand and buys two. He hands one to Libby.**

SHEEN: Here’s a whole enchilada for my whole enchilada! You get it?

**Libby smiles and nods.**

LIBBY: Aww thanks Sheen. That’s so sweet.

**Sheen smiles at her before taking a bite out of his enchilada.**

SHEEN (with a mouthful of enchilada): Hey, Jimmy, are you gonna buy Cindy something?

JIMMY: No!! Besides, we came here to find our future selves, not buy stuff.

SHEEN (swallowing): Sure, but how’re we gonna find ‘em?

Yeah, I decided to post ANOTHER chapter. I hope you guys are enjoying these rapid updates, because it won't be happening for very long. After all, how am I supposed to enjoy my cliffhangers? :lol: Anyway, here's chapter three!!



Chapter Three: "She Looks Beautiful in Yellow, Doesn't She?"

JIMMY: Oh, that’ll be easy with my new invention, The Directotech 5001.

**Jimmy pulls out a device that looks like a PDA.**

CINDY: Oh great. Is this gonna blow up?

**Jimmy smirks at Cindy.**

JIMMY: Well, at least I can actually make something!

CINDY: You know good and well I can make something! Remember the science fair?

JIMMY: If it was so good, then why didn’t you win first place?

CINDY: Because I had to stop YOUR invention!

**Libby steps in between the two before they can fight any longer.**

LIBBY: Okay, you two need to stop fighting! We didn’t come here to fight, ya know.

**Jimmy and Cindy look at her, silently agreeing that they’ll never get anywhere with their arguing.**

CINDY: Whatever. But I get to use it.

**She reaches for the Directotech 5001 only to have her hand brush against Jimmy’s. The two blush and scoot away.**

LIBBY: Yeah, if you guys are done, I’d like to see who I’m married to.

JIMMY: Fine. Hold still.

**A yellow beam shoots out of the Directotech 5001 and surrounds Libby.**

SHEEN (to Carl): She looks beautiful in yellow, doesn’t she?

CARL: I guess, but I think that Jimmy’s mom’s -- (Sees Sheen looking at him strangely) cookies! Her cookies would look better. Or Elke.

**Sheen looks at him for a second before turning his gaze to Libby. Carl pulls a picture out of his pocket. It’s of Jimmy, Sheen and him with Jimmy and Sheen standing on either side of him. Jimmy’s mom’s head is taped over Jimmy’s head and Elke’s is taped over Sheen’s.**

CARL: Forgive me, ladies.

JIMMY: Okay, this will lead us to Libby’s future self. With any luck, we’re all still friends and she’ll be able to tell us where our future selves are.

**He looks down at the Directotech 5001 and sees a blinking light that represents the future Libby. He heads in the direction of the light with Cindy, Libby, Sheen and Carl trailing behind. The five finally reach a quaint neighborhood.**

JIMMY: According to my tracker, your future self lives here.

**Libby nods as she looks at the house. It’s a two-story brick one with a gold mini-van parked in the gravel driveway. All of the sudden, a red sports car comes down the road and parks in the driveway. A man steps out of the car. He appears to be in his thirties. A young boy about five years old runs out of the house. The boy has black hair with a tan complexion.**

MAN: Hi Esteban! Did you have fun with your mother today?

ESTEBAN: Uh huh. She took me to where she works after school!

**The man smiles at him and walks into the house.**

JIMMY: I think we can go in now.

**They go up to the door and ring the door bell. A woman answers the door. She has beautiful, jet black hair that is cut in a bob. She is wearing a pretty dark purple tunic with a pair of black leggings underneath. A wide white belt is slung across her hips.**

LIBBY: Um, is your name Libby Folfax?
