Actually, I found the entire scene with the enourmously long number password really good and funny! Not too mention clever! First off, the part with him reciting the whole thing like some kind of automated robot, never stopping to take a breath, never getting confused or forgetting a number or part, not hemming or hawwing. Still Jimmy's voice, but real professional. I got a hilarious image of if this were a movie, some poor kid (maybe even a boy on IDOJ, if we did it :rolleyes: ) having to recite all those numbers from memory like that. OMG, it'd be cool!

And, everything that its made up of, how he came up with it...oh brother...first its normal, the first 121 digets of pi, and more scientific stuff, lol, but then the square root of the number of times he tried to build Goddard before it worked, and numeric code of his parents names backwards or something, and the French word for the color of his rocket. What the--??! That's such a gag! :lol: If I was there with him I woulda been like "OH MY GOODNESS! *head falls in hands*" driving me nuts...but on the other hand, I can see Jimmy's perspective of it, too, and how its all so normal to him. I love it! I wish that were in the show or something. High props to you Mara for making it up!

And, the fact that he's sure the dictator uses the exact same password. That makes a lot of sense, why wouldn't he? Only thing no one else would ever think or remember. But, that's smart of Jimmy to think of! And, good that he did. I was like "Hey, that's clever" Good job!

I have a question: Did you really go and dig out the first 121 digits of pi, and find and figure out all those other things for the number and put them in there for it, or did you just make up random numbers? I'm sure you did for some, but I was wondering if that was at least pi and other things. 'Cause that'd be so cool, if it was all like, scientifically correct! Just wondering...

Awesome installment! Insane cliffhanger! :grr: But, yeah, there was only about 9 weeks between these last two installments, not bad. I can't wait for the next, but I will. I'll have to reread this one many more times anyway to fully understand it, which I always do. So...this satisfies for now.

Yes, I actually dug up those numbers :rolleyes: Well, the ones that appeared in the text, that is (Pi and Euler's #). Also, I included the word "Albert Einstein" spelled backward at one point...

Of course I'd love to see how April and NAV are, but maybe that will come later...

And I figured out pretty early on that pi was in there. After 3.14159 I was like "I know what comes next! :o"

(on pi day in eighth grade algebra my teacher gave out a prize to the person who could memorize the most of pi in half the period. Michelle and I remembered it by turning it into a rap of sorts)

I remember reading Jimmy's explanation for his password and literally face-palming. It was so ridiculous, but completely true that no one else could remember all that. I usually just have the most random words that no one would be able to guess. I used "brokenshoelace" for some website four years ago. But there have been two times recently when I used long passwords with stuff no one else would remember :ph43r: I'm like the Jimster, with my ninja-password styles.
