I only know Photoshop...if it's anything like GIMP, you should put the lines on a separate layer and set that layer to multiply, and then color on different layers underneath.I downloaded GIMP like I said I would to color this awesome image, but when I went to select the outline, as you can see here, it only selects the dark areas and not the light ones. I want it COMPLETELY selected so I can color that in with a single shade of black, then invert the selection to color in the rest, but I dunno how to do that. Is there anyone more experienced with GIMP who could help me with this dilemma?? I'd much appreciate it!
EDIT: Or, if you can't figure out the multiply function, I changed it to a transparent .png file for you. Just pop that on a new layer and color beneath it:
