Also, exciting news, apparently, amazon is doing an animated mighty nein series too!!!! I am terrified and excited at the same time.

WE EFFING GOT THE TITLE. WE EFFING GOT THE TITLE. I AM SCREAMING. THE FEYWILD WAS FREAKIN AWESOME AND GROG???! GROG MADE ME NEARLY CRY THESE BATCH OF EPISODES.

 

Saundor was creepy AF- the art- the animation- the music! EFF! they went hard. "You will never be enough." Making me tear up like a baby.

Syldor was a complete and utter dick- so much more of a dick then stream version. Hell, yes. Also, I CAN NOT wait for the grog/ kevdak showdown next week!!! AHHH! THIS SHOW IS SO GOOD. I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

well, if the trend they've set holds out... probably not till next january. Although, it could be earlier but I sincerely doubt it I have so many questions about next season and I can NOT wait to see it put on screen. They really kicked this one out of the park and I can't wait to see what they pull out next season.

Things I'm still thinking about:

The entire Killbox fight.

 

The entirety of Echo Tree. Specifically the way they framed the 'pure heart' convo between Vex and Percy between two points when Vex is dealing with her fears of her inadequacy/issues of worth . That on top of the title, he gives her the arrowhead, a thing he made, the FIRST thing he made for her- he shows her that he SEES her. That he values her. It is such stark contrast to her father and Saundor. 

 

THE RAVEN QUEEN???! OH MY GOSH THEY MADE HER SO COOL and CREEPY AND PERFECT. 

 

The animation.

The Raishan reveal.

AHHH! I'm almost done with campaign two! I only have like three or so left. How did that sneak up so fast?

I HEARD THE FINAL BATTLE WITH LUCIEN AND I AM FEELING THINGS.

 

A year or two before CR2 starts, a tiefling named Lucien dies in a botched ritual (his soul scattered all across the astral plane). But a part of his soul stays in his body and he awakens with no memories of who is he. He always says "EMPTY." and from that word, his name, Mollymauk Tealeaf is born.

 

Now, early in C2, Molly dies and the M9 thinks that's the end of it. It's not. 

 

They start unearthing some secrets and discover Lucien might have a connection to something that's not good and they go to the grave where they buried Molly and he's not there, he's alive again as Lucien.

 

Anyway, Lucien's entire goal is getting this super creepy city that is made of (cw: for body horror

) and the m9 kill him to stop him. They try to bring him back and fail, and THEN AND THEN Caduceus Clay who is played by the same player as Mollymauk Tealeaf casts divine intervention (WHICH FOR REFERENCE ONLY SUCCEEDS VERY RARELY) succeeds and tells his goddess to "put it back" and thus brings back a new reborn living Molly (with no memory other than simple words to describe his feelings about the M9 and who is repeating EMPTY.) 

 

The point is one of my favorite characters just last ditch brought back one of my other favorite characters which just happens to be HIS old character. I JUST CAN NOT.

okay, since I don't think there are OG CR fans here I think I'm relatively safe in saying that the "why are percy's eyes green in tlovm when they are blue in the character art and in other art of him" is sort of a weird thing to be fixated on. Sure, it sucks to have a character change appearance, I get that. But they are just eyes? Like, Percy's character is PERFECTLY aligned with who he is in the stream, shouldn't that matter more than his eyes? Like I said, I get it! You've pictured it one way and having it way for years made the change a bummer.

 

I love BOTH.

 

But so many OG fans make it seem like that version of Percy is WAY better. And it's so dumb... but... 

 

It's just sort of alienating? Like I legit like both designs a lot.
