-Oh my god, Cecil has a niece? And he’s helping her, and cares about her with all his heart? I know she’s family, but its further evidence towards the popular belief that Cecil loves and is great with kids!

 

-Cecil telling Dana she’s always been important, awww...

 

-Khoshekh is doing better, and everyone’s been asking about him! Cecil got to hold him for the first time! Carlos is allergic to cats! LOL! Poor thing, but glad things are slowly getting better for Cecil’s baby boy…

-LAUREN, NO! GET OUT OF HERE!

 

-STREX BOUGHT GIRL SCOUTS, WHAT?!

 

-Now she’s subtly threatening his niece, WHAT?!

At first I think he was trying really hard not to keep making digs towards Strex, because of what happened last time, but damn! He's really not even trying to hide it any more. 

 

Either that or he's really bad at it. 

 

Not that I can blame him.

He's definitely getting bolder with his anti-Strex sentiments...and his doublespeak regarding uprisings is becoming increasingly transparent, lol. And is it just me, or was Cecil really casual in this episode? It was like he was in personal mode instead of radio host mode (even more so than usual).

Oh, and I LOVED the weather!

Ohh, yeah, that's obvious. And as much as I love to hear his passive-aggressive comments and hints towards a rebellion, its probably not a smart idea at all to say those things on the air. I'm always conflicted on whether to feel proud or frustrated.

But yes, the main episode was terrifying and heartbreaking on every level.

 

Although, if this episode taught me anything its that I should no longer expect any sublty whatsoever from Cecil anymore. Like...its just not gonna happen. Nope. Oh well.

I feel like this is the first episode that's ended on a real (or at least an actually serious) cliffhanger. UGH, JUST BE TWO WEEKS FROM NOW ALREADY!!!

Also, why do I get the feeling that Strex is going to do something to the other members of Carlos' science team?

Because he kept emphasizing how much safer he is with them around, and how without them of course it would be much more dangerous.

That's what put Cecil at ease and what made Carlos so confident that he would be fine.

Just hurting Carlos wouldn't be subtle enough, but if they slowly cut off his team, his back up, things could get...less safe. Ya know?

 

What if they started disappearing one by one, or died/went missing like radio station interns? Until Carlos is on the job alone, or with only one other person.

Just what came to my mind when I heard that.

 

I think I need to stop thinking these things, though, because I'm scaring myself.

 

Their little phone call was so adorable, though! Carlos' little "staaap" at Cecil's "handsome" remark was too much, holy shit, I love these two more and more every time! I did not expect to hear his voice in this one! What a treat! And much needed cuteness considering the rest of it...

 

Just don't hurt 'em!

I still cannot get over the fact that friggin Matilda is a part of Night Vale (although, in retrospect, it kinda makes sense...a girl with weird psychokinetic mind powers largely surrounded by a group of controlling authority figures? Yeah, that sounds pretty Night Vale-esque to me...)
