Such a great series. See, this is why I'm addicted to tabletop games - because you get to live this shit every week with a group of friends. Best hobby ever.

I was actually referring to the animated show based on the series. :) I am slacking on watching the original. There is just so much content and quite honestly RP has never appealed to me and DND confuses the eff out of me. But I am working my way up to it because I know the experience will be even more enhanced.

I am also referring to the animated series. I've never listened to Critical Role. I've also never played DnD, but almost everyone in the tabletop community is familiar with the system, due its popularity and longevity.

I never had any interest in roleplaying until my friend Tim strong-armed me into joining a Pendragon game with him. 6 years later, and some of my best friends are people I met through the hobby. It's so much fun.

Well, now I feel sufficiently foolish. Lol that’s what I get for assuming things ;) Which considering the topic title is even more ridiculous. I apologize.

Yes, my brain has been pretty much consumed by VM for the past two weeks. The animation.. the music! The characters!!!

Yeah! I bet doing games like that with an experienced group really helps! I know a lot of really awesome people who do RP games. For some reason they just stress me out. Lol I feel like once you get into them though that they are a lot of fun.

They're tons of fun! Highly recommended giving it a try. There are tons of games with simpler rules than DnD, especially since a lot are designed to be played in just one sitting.

Just watched the new Pixar movie Turning Red. It perfectly encapsulates what it was like to be a girl in middle school in the early 2000s. I felt like I was back in 7th grade again. I miss those days - I miss how monumentally important everything felt.

~*Mara*~ = ^.^ =

Just watched this, too. Thought it was cute and funny, but not very rewatchable imo. Encanto, on the other hand, I've seen like over five times now mostly because my husband puts it on a lot! :P

I love Encanto!  I always watch it with my dad and my sister because they're fan girls who watch it all the time.

It's not my favorite Disney musical, but I thought Encanto was very good. And We Don't Talk About Bruno is *constantly* stuck in my head. So catchy.

I also just saw Turning Red the other day. I thought it was a lot of fun, and very accurate in its portrayal of early 2000s middle school girl life, but I don't think it's got much rewatch-ability. I can't see myself regularly wanting to put it on just to experience it again. It's like Up and Inside Out in that way--very good at what it set out to accomplish, but not the type of story I feel particularly attached to. Not like Monsters, Inc, or Finding Nemo, or Wall-E, or Onward. Those are my favorite Pixar movies.

Just finished season two of Bridgerton earlier today. I'm not normally a fan of trashy romance, but this show is legitimately funny. I think Lady Featherington is one of my favorite characters. She's hilariously over the top, and ruthless, and she just kept finding ways to keep getting what she wants this season. I read they have at least four seasons confirmed, and I think Benedict's story is the third book, and Colin/Penelope the fourth? But also that there are a lot of differences in things like Lady Whistledown's actions and influence on the ton, plus some others, so going in exact book order might not make sense, especially since they're also adding a lot of subplots like the Featherington heir plot, etc. Anyway. Excited to see where the show goes next.

Because it's freaking awesome, that's why.

I've been hearing SO much about Our Flag Means Death and I really wish I could check it out. I also need to watch Heartstopper!

I just recently, over the course of the past month, rewatched the whole series of My Life as a Teenage Robot online. That was a show I loved dearly when I was younger and I still love it. All of the characters are exactly as I remembered them: Jenny, Tuck, Brad, Sheldon and Dr. Wakeman, the main cast, are all amazing characters. I love Tuck. He's always getting himself into trouble. However, I hate the Crust cousins, Brit and Tiff. They are like the typical popular people you'd see in school.

So along with Danny Phantom, I can say I rekindled my love for two shows I loved when I was in middle school. They are just so awesome. Two superheroes just trying to fit in with normal people. The villains are great as well.

As for movies, I haven't watched a movie in awhile. I usually watch all horror movies since everyone in my family loves them, but since I know some people here don't like them, out of respect, I won't post about them here.

Ahhhh I love this show!!!! I binged S1 and S2 in like 3 days earlier this month, I'm like mildly (okay, completely) obsessed. Started reading the books too definitely not as good as the show! I also love all of the subplot stuff (people complain it takes away too much from the focal romance but I love the _drama_) Lady Featherington is lowkey the best, she's so conniving. :evillaugh: Except when she's being horrible to Penelope. Team Pen all the way!  :wub2:

Saw the final episode of MoonKnight today. I honestly really loved the show. The acting, story, and concepts were great. Definitely one of the most unique things Marvel has put out lately.

I haven't, mainly cuz I saw the trailer for it and it looks just too bizarre and creepy for me, but I did hear that the trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water showed before the movie started! I really wanna see that once it comes out in December!! :kawaii: :la: Did you see that trailer before the movie started, Lizzie?? :la:
