I really enjoyed the movie. There were some things I was like wait- what?
But Smaug was perfect. No doubt my favorite part of the entire movie. I of course loved Benedict as the voice for him. It was wonderful. :-)
As for the addition of the love story, I didn't actually mind it until the scene in Laketown. Because the scene in the cell felt more like she was just befriending him to me. Honestly. If they had left out the "do you think she could have loved me part?" I totally friendship those two.
The thing I didn't like about the movie? My sister in law sitting next to me, grumbling every time the plot deviated from the book. And then her husband laughing because she's sooooo funny and cute and clever and them proceeding to kiss repeatedly while I'm trying to watch the darn movie. UGH. Total distraction. ANYWAY. back to the topic. :-)
I sort of wished that they had been a little less obvious about the ring though. I kind of got the impression that Bilbo wasn't even really affected by the ring all that much until later when Sauron starts to get really powerful? Am I wrong about this?
Anyway, those are sort of my jumbled up thoughts. :-)

Honestly, my favorite thing about the Hobbit is all the fandom jokes.

Thranduil, ruler of the hick elves of Mirkwood.

I just watched through Breaking Bad for the first time. My impressions... It was amazingly well-written, well-acted and well-directed from beginning to end. I can totally see why this is a hit... but it's not really for me. I'm glad I watched it, but I probably won't watch it again. Nothing to do with the quality of it - Just personal taste.

Just got caught up on The Walking Dead. All in all, I'm finding it very entertaining. I really enjoy the action. There's something about zombies getting shot in the head that just gives me some sick joy.
So yes, I am definitely enjoying it.
However, near the end of Season 2, I came to a realization: I'm not exactly going to be crying if any of these characters die (with 3 exceptions - 2 of whom are now dead).
It's kind of the opposite of Breaking Bad for me. While I didn't exactly enjoy BB, I kept watching because I cared a lot about the characters (and now that I know what happens to them, I feel no need to ever watch it again). I AM enjoying The Walking Dead, but for the most part, I don't really care if anyone lives or dies...

So, saw the Lego Movie today. I wouldn't say it was amazing or anything, but it was really, really funny. I'm glad I saw it. I think Vitruvius was my favorite.

I watched the first episode of Gravity Falls today. I died. So much. It was great. And on (I think) Tuesday, I finally watched the season finale of Dragons: Defenders of Berk. It was pretty good. Not as exciting as the season one finale, I think, but still good. I totally called it about Alvin not being dead, though. Never Found The Body and all that. Plus he keeps "dying" and coming back in the books, so....
