Just saw Tokyo Godfathers on Netflix...I don't think I've ever seen a movie starring three homeless people before. It was such a sentimental, heartwarming story, and I loved the way it ended ^_^ It laid out all the pieces of the "wrap-up", but left it up to the viewer to fit them together.

I actually really want to see this and read the book it's based on. I saw it mentioned on TV tropes a couple days ago and haven't been able to get it out of my head since.

Dude. I just watched the Korean film Castaway on the Moon. Literally one of the best movies I've ever seen. Oh my God.

I watched Wreck-It Ralph for the first time today. It was adorable, and I loved the Sonic and Dr. Eggman cameos.

I decided to rewatch Code Lyoko. I never realized how mediocre the writing really is. But it's still beautiful because it's chock full of narm and characters underreacting to pretty important things (like when Yumi just walks out of the back seat of the car to go to the factory to fight XANA when she's supposed to go on vacation with her parents) and overreacting to unimportant things (omg you agreed to go to the school dance with a younger girl who can't go without a date just to be a nice guy ZOMGSSADFSGA!?!?).

I'm on episode three now and found this little gem:

Sissi: I only stayed at school so I could find out the secret of Jeremy and his friends because the truth is, I've been wanting to be part of their group for ages but it seems so hopeless. Do you understand what I mean?

Jim: Huh? No.

EDIT:

Yumi: Hi, Aelita! Have you seen any monsters?

Aelita: Not yet.

Odd: *points in the opposite direction* Guess you didn't look very hard.

I'm dying here, you guys.

Dunno where else to put this, but more Code Lyoko hilariousness (from episode 19):

Sissi: The only way I'd help Yumi is if you agreed to be a little more cool with me, and when I say cool...you know what I mean.

Ulrich: Fine. I'll go out with you for...a week. How's that?

Sissi: A week? The price for helping Yumi is two months minimum.

Ulrich: One month and a down payment.

Sissi: What kind of down payment?

*Ulrich kisses Sissi*

I just love how they're using kissing and dating as a bartering system and haggling about it. :P It's so weird.

@Mary: speaking of Code Lyoko, my cousin Emily and I have been watching the French live action version with fansubs. The dialogue can often be quite good (esp. since Odd swears and snarks a lot). The cinematography is very...hmm..."early 90s nickelodeon" quality though...

Obviously I've seen it before, but I recently rewatched Shrek after many years, and I realized I forgot how much that movie kicks ass. Like, seriously. It kicks so much friggin' ass!

I mean, there are a few scenes that are slow and a little boring, but overall its still one of the best animated films I've ever seen. I'd rather watch that 100 times than most Disney films once. Not to mention its one of the few "romantic comedies" I can actually stomach. It just really holds up.

/random, but it had to be said

Just saw "Home Run". Cute movie with a feel-good plotline and good character development! And the lead actor? Cuuuute!

It's REALLY good! Have you seen the original? It's almost a remake of it, with a few things re-imagined... and depending on how attached you are to the original and how receptive you are to change...
