Yes, but, hold habits could return. Some cases where it's "love at first sight" end up being the focus of a crime like a battered wife or husband killing the spouse.

aint no such animal. there is no love at first sight. and what do you mean by it, exactly you saw a women putting gas in her car and you knew you were in love? maybe it was the gas fumes, fool. there are so many variables to consider in this situation. for one, the distance of the so called sighting. if you wear contacts or glasses you can barely see a car ahead of you on the road, let alone love. three to six feet is the ideal distance for love at first sight striking. but, how many women to you know that would let strange men get that close. but the body oders can get in the way of the love thing. you might think its love when its just the fumes talking to you. realistically what are the chances of love at first sight

No it doesn't Urvy. And to be honest, there isn't a difference between you and them, not right now at least. They bash JB, you bash JC. If you want to be the bigger and better person, treat JC with respect, but still go about promoting JB. That way, you can do what you want and most of the JN fan community, in both IDOJ and other sites, will be satisfied. Most fans are reasonable people. As long as you portray Cindy realistically and respectfully, they will enjoy a JB fanfic. And if you portray Cindy respectfully and don't do any bashing and people still give you reviews that say nothing but "It should be Jimmy and Cindy!" (which is what someone did to the JB oneshot I wrote as a birthday present to Stacy three years ago), then ignore them. They're being brats and they're not worth your time. But if you want to get positive feedback from the largest audience, you have to portray Cindy respectfully and believably. That doesn't mean you have to make her some super-sweet cupcake of a girl, though. You can still make Cindy the antagonist in a JB fic, so long as you don't bash Cindy. That will make the most people happy and will avoid hurt feelings.

But when said bashers do it, they get off scott free. It is not right. It's going to be hard to treat Cindy with respect if she's the villain. Then again, she was a villain earlier in the show, until the writers decided to cater to the J/Cers by throwing them fanservice in later eps.

I did notice that you were careful to say that outside of IDOJ, people bash Betty. I'm glad you made that distinction.

I just think it's important for you to realize that when you say that JC is a horrifically abusive relationship, you're implying that people who like JC also like horrifically abusive relationships. And that includes us here on IDOJ.

So thank you for trying not to offend us, Urvy. I'm just afraid that sometimes you end up offending us accidentally.

Ok, I admit I was harsh to all J/Cers here, it is because of my fic and my comments about J/Cers supporting bullying and domestic abuse and my actions of attacking Cindy and J/Cers would wound up ending up like Rorschach "punishing" (attacking) people to find his "mask-killer" would get me in trouble. I admit, I am one of the last J/Bers here after Stacy rarely comes here now due to other engagements, this makes me the last soldier to defend J/B and I did end up being an extremist. I just don't like Cindy as a character, and I do not find anything good about her period. I don't know why characters like her are popular, it just irks me.

I wasn't offended at all, but like Katie, I too worry that sometimes you offend people accidentally. We just want to keep this a fan-friendly community where we can all discuss all aspects of JN in a positive and fun atmosphere.

Thank you, Urvy. That is much more reasonable of a statement. You're allowed to dislike Cindy, and talk about it here! But what crossed the line was implying JCers enjoy domestic violence. I'm glad you can see the difference between those two types of discussions.

We're not saying you're a bad person, Urvy. We're saying that if you bash Cindy and JC, you're not any better than the Betty/JB bashers you dislike so much. You want proof? Let me tell you a story.

This story was set before your time. Once upon a time in the early days of IDOJ, there was an IDOJer named Fergalicious. She bragged on how Cindy was better than Betty. So, she bashed Betty. In the end, she got the boot the end.

Take a look at the ATLA fanbase, or any other fan base, ship wars happen and they don't let bashers slide. There's barely any ship wars in the JN fandom.
