My view of the JC in the film, ignoring the contents of the tv series:
1.Cindy was really only attacking Jimmy to increase her social standing, and didn't actually believe what she said.
2.Jimmy and Cindy don't have a love/hate relationship, but rather would be in a full love relationship if their culture wasn't designed to initate boy/girl hate before a certain age. They're nearing the edge of that age group in the film and thus soon their feud will fade away.
3.Cindy honestly understood Jimmy better than anyone else, and realized this when the Yolkians imprisoned them. Their fights seemed to have mostly died by the end of the movie. The show only ignored this relation shift because love/hate allows for better comedy.
However, all three of these facts were ignored by the tv series. This is why for the tv show I ship JB.

When you give people excuses, they learn they can do what you excused them for.I disagree with the whole Cindy's going to become abusive when she is older. I mean come on. She is only 11 years old. Just because she is a little sassy now, doesn't mean she will grow up to become an abuser.

Odd conclusion that I've come to-I'm not a multishipper at all. I ship JB for the television series, and JC if you just consider the original movie and ignore the tv series. Why? Simple. There were several implications about the JC in the movie that were repeatedly squashed in the tv series. My love for JC is distinct from the common one in the fandom.

& since JB is only in the TV show, it can only mean one thing: a true JBer now. Definitely happy to hear it John!
I can see where people start to like JC in the movie though, & even I can tolerate this edition of the ship a heck of a lot better than I can in later seasons of the show, (even just eps like Love Potion, let alone the dreaded Stranded have me at LEAST fast-forwarding, but never-ever muting because I still have to watch the scenes.

As I've stated, (in the universe including only the original movie), Cindy's behavior isn't even caused by her own personality (for the most part), but rather due to social pressures entirely related to age.I know she's 11, but I have a theory on what MIGHT happen to Jimmy and Cindy in the future. What would happen if the urge to be the best returns? What if they would compete against one another and Cindy turns mean again? That's what I meant to ask what if she would return to her old ways.
Also thanks NekoGirl! I may still do some JC related stuff (I'm currently planning a side project fanfic that would be JC) but I just put their tv show relationship into DisContinuity.

As for Cindy possibly being abusive, I'm not real sure on this, but if & ONLY if the urge for "I'm way better than you & I'll do anything to prove it" returns in some way. Other than that reason I'm beginning to think most of the teasing is classmate-pressure related. So I'm just gonna go with that.
As for NAW, definitely understandable, I'm the same with my character April, I don't have much character-development on her (& probably less on her twin bro Bobby) as is, & if no other ideas hit me before I finally get the ability to actually write their story (& preferrably their mother's first if it'll work out that way, but could go either way. The first of the two series WILL be the most premitive in writing terms, since I've NEVER written anything story-wise in my life, & frankly I'd rather it be the mother's. Mostly a parody thing to start with, & the twins have quite a few more OCs in their story who also have essentially blank info character-wise, & you need OC basic info before even trying to include them in a story, so... yeah. xD) But either way it'll likely be a long-ways off before you guys see anything of them.
For a JB series of my own, NO idea but I would like to do one someday for both how the JN couples get together (basically a life-story on the main characters+Betty up to the time their children are their ages in the show) & possibly even a mini-series on the kids themselves, but how can I do any of it if I can't write story-wise (or think I can't) to start with? OY VEY. x3
