I really liked the premere... Republic City is very NYC inspired, typical opposing Bending Personality drama, Tenzin's "jump for joy" a deeper mystery of an anti-bender terror group and best of all, Mako / Korra love ship... OH, and Korra is beyond awesome.

Overall, very satisfied of the premere. I can't wait for more.

Awesome. They did a really good job with characterization in the first episode...I feel like I already know these people Tenzin is awesome and hilarious, Korra has such big and sincere emotions, Bolin is...MEGAUBERAWESOMESEXYFINE

This show. Is. Amazing. I'm already loving it to pieces. Though I got all teary eyed when Katara was all like...Sokka's "gone" OMG NO SOKKA YOU ARE IMMORTAL AND WILL LIVE FOREVER IN MY HEART

Anyway. Yes. Bolin is a reasonable replacement for Sokka for now. I love the humor this show is bringing out, and the nods to the fans. I'm very curious as to the "bad guys" and where this goes. Yay more Avatar-ish show thingy yay!!!

I slept straight through the premiere

But that's ok because Thundercat and I saw it on KorraNation.com on March 24th, and Adeline and I saw it about a week ago after I got the free iTunes download.

Katara said "My brother and many of my friends have gone." Does that mean that one of the other original gaang characters are still around? Personally I'm hoping either for Toph or Zuko to make some sort of cameo appearance, if even just for an episode.

My thoughts are...except for Aang, who was 112, all the other gang members were in there teens. Which means that in Legend of Korra, they're in their eighties. I'm guessing Sokka just loved meat too much and therefore dies of some cholesterol related death. Poor Sokka. It's very possible that Zuko or Toph are still alive, or maybe both. People in the Avatar world seem to live for an outrageously long time if left to die of old age (icebergs notwithstanding). I'd really love to see Toph as an old lady, if Lin is anything to judge her by...

I'm in love with Korra. She is so badass and awesome and I am absolutely in love with this show. I can't wait to meet Aang's other two kids, Kya and Bumi. Are they not airbenders?

First of all, lol at your conclusion about Sokka's death. Second, no, Kya and Bumi are not airbenders. Kya is a waterbender and Bumi is a non-bender.

I didn't even hear what Mako said about Bolin after telling Korra about his parents dying right in front of him. I was too busy telling Miriam that Mako was like Batman. But I'll be watching the ep online with Adeline later, so maybe I'll hear it then.

I don't know how they managed to work something so beautiful and perfect and worthy of worship onto TV. I am officially more attached to these characters than any other fandom I've been a part of (except maybe Dragon Age. 'Cause, you know, Alistair.).

It's like highly addictive drugs masquerading as that are everything that is good in this world. I just can't get over how the sheer massiveness of my adoration for this show.
