Red Storm leans his head out the window of the jet. "That includes all vehicles, Issac." he yelled to Issac's back, grinning mischieviously

I facepalm, turning back.
"How can you do maintenance on a prototype?"

[Beks]

"I have my ways..." he said, winking.

[ssj4majuub]

I shake my head.
"Man. Does that include the jetpacks, or the bubble gum bouncers?"
I ask, fully aware of how long it would take to go that distance, but realizing it's either that or walk it.

[Beks]

"Yep." he said cheerfully. "I've even confiscated Rat Lady's jetpack. I gotta make sure all this stuff works properly. Looks like you and the rest of the mission NKs are hiking it."

I sigh.
"You realize that's about 16 miles, don't you? I've never walked more than 16 feet, much less 16 miles!" I say, not quite exaggerating.

[Beks]

"I'd like to help, Issac, but I'm swamped. I gotta service all these vehicles and transportation devices before tomorrow night." he said. "I'll see ya later." He walks out of the room, heading towards the jetpack lab

I raise an eyebrow, turning to the others.
"All for taking the jet anyway?"

*sighs* Looks like we'll be going on foot. *pulls out the map* Well, thanks, Writer Woman. *looks at the others* Let's get this show on the road...

I frown.
"Bloody maintainence. Nothing wrong with my old girl..."
I pull out a pack of gum, popping one.
"I'm ready, I guess."

[+1 failwizard who types a) too much AND b) in third person! (Actually, reason I've got so much for this post is because it's also something of my introductory post, as well, even if it isn't very detailed... it'll get shorter later, I promise. :B)]

The irritated Isaac was to be shortly joined by a very purple and very bumbling figure, who made his entrance most gracefully by skittering into the hangar and then promptly loosing his footing over his own shadow and landing fantastically on his face.

He would likely be recognizable by any present as the relatively new addition to the Knights--if he could, indeed, be called a Knight--that had titled himself The Clockwork Wizard, if only because 'Edward', while being a knightly name, wasn't quite magnificent enough.

"W-wait!" he bleats to everyone assembled before Shorti leads them off, springing to his feet again and turning a gesture to straighten his hat into some sort of bizarre salute. "I was, er, inf-f-formed of y-your mission, sirs, and asked to j-join you, in c-case you may, uh, require the talents of an amateur Time bender such as myself!" No doubt, though, he was more likely to be the inadvertent packmule when and if the other Knights got tired--which was a comical shame, because he was such a pathetically skinny fellow!

I smiled, holding out a hand to Edward.
"We'd be glad to have you aboard, Ed."

[Wizard]

After some hesitation and staring at the proffered hand, as if unsure of what to do with it, Edward carefully reaches forward, takes it, and gives it a brief shake.

"P-Pleasure's all m-mine, I'm s-sure, sir," he says, releasing Isaac and sweeping off his own hat with a humble bow.

I smile.
"Loosen up, man. You're the same as all the rest of us."
I chuckle.
"Figuratively, anyway."

[Beks]

Writer Woman pops her head into the room. "You're still here?" she yells, glaring at them. "Get going, slackers. The Space Bandits are probably robbing some poor mom-and-pop store at this moment. Get your silk clad butts in gear!" She eyes Clockwork Wizard's robe pointedly before disappearing.

I chuckle.
"16 MILES, DOUBLE W. WE SHOULD NOT BE WALKING."

[Wizard]

Edward smiles weakly at Isaac before jumping in surprise at Writer Woman's sudden rebuke.

"What? What? Ohhh, y-yes," he blathers, appearing sheepish and squinting inquiringly over his glasses (which had decided to take up residence on the very end of his nose) at the other Knights.

[Beks]

"It builds character, and leg muscle," she called back to them. "So get goin', pansies."

I turn, grumbling.
"Everytime I build character, she saves a couple hundred bucks."
