Yay! Thanks for updating me on the wonderful news!

Ooooh your icon reminds me of a Thermodynamics proof... and since this is a JN forum anyway, I guess I shall share it! :D

Bonus Question: Is heck exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following:

"First, we need to know how the mass of heck is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into heck and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to heck, it will not leave.

Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering heck, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to heck. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to heck.

With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in heck to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in heck because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in heck to stay the same, the volume of heck has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities: 1) If heck is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter heck, then the temperature and pressure in heck will increase until all heck breaks loose.

2) If heck is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in heck, then the temperature and pressure will drop until heck freezes over..

TOSOT HAS BEEN UPDATED!! ...as have the unfeatured artwork and karaoke night sections.

I'm actually gonna post even more today, but the first 6 pages are up now. Thanks to Gwen's signature, I've been guilted into actually working.

I was initially going to hire a mafia hitman to beat me up for being such a miserable procrastinator, but then decided that would be counterproductive (not to mention expensive).

So you'll just have to settle for another installment: READ IT NAO

LOL, you forgot the end of the proof, which states:

"So, we now have to decide between options 1 and 2.

To do so, I will draw from personal experience. I asked a girl to go out with me, and she replied that she would go out with me when heck froze over. Since she has not gone out with me, I can assume that heck has not frozen over, and is therefore exothermic. "

I agree!

Your pictures are really quite good. You've really captured a sort of feral, animalike readiness to spring in this picture.

Faaaaabulous!

UPDATE :onfire: [9/23/08]

-OK, so I realize it's been a while since I made a proper update (bad Mara!)

-Anyway, I have a huge paper due tomorrow, then several books to read, then Taiko drumming, then a field trip to an archaeological site, then a poetry seminar...but AFTER all that (probably on Wednesday) I'm going to devote a few hours to some much needed site maintenance.

I'll be updating the music videos page, adding an update to the homepage, and more importantly, updating the character profiles section with pics of all the obscure/oneshot characters that you guys have been collecting on the forums. It's been really nagging at my mind for a while, so now's the time to remedy that.

Also, I accidentally left my flash drive back in VT, so those of you who want your fanfics added Wednesday (coughSunnycough), I apologize DEEPLY, but you're going to have to send the fics to me AGAIN. **grovels repetitively**

OK, that's about it. This week's gonna be pretty stressful, but I hope to be on as much as possible to chat! :bff:

Wow, busy few days! But a field trip...that should be fun!

Anyway, I'll email you my fanfic, since I don't think I ever did that. Haha.

Also, for the music videos page, Flank uploaded the TOSOT trailer onto the site, so I don't know if you wanted to put that into the music video section or what, but yeah. That's there if you want to include it in your updates.

Alrighty, good luck on your paper!
