Well, I disagree...there were a heckuva lot of posts under other topics.


Still, I can understand about the posting thing a little. Although the Topic of Epic Funny seems to be kinda cheating too, then... O_o (But I suppose since people don't storm it as badly as they did the slap topic, IDOJers have never felt that it needs deleting...) *shrugs*

**cough** Gwen, every single active person on IDOJ that I can think of has posted in that topic. And Rach, I don't think the Topic of Epic Funny was as bad because, well, there was more of a point (check Gwen's original post in it). And, as you said the Slap Topic had waaaaay more posts.

The thing is, the Topic of Epic Funny is MEANT for spam. It's MEANT to be a discussion topic.

The slap topic, however, was a clever game, and not intended to go as far as it did.

Well, I can't help but miss it a bit. I mean, it was nice to be able to talk to people there. You can't do that in other topics (except other spam topics) without getting annoyingly off-topic. And PMs, although fun, take foreverrrrrr sometimes. It's not as close to a real conversation.

That's the reason why that topic'll be missed.

Agreed, Gwen and Rachel (the sunny one).

Slap topic was not meant to go that far, and-- in my honest opinion-- was hogging up too much room on IDOJ. It was bigger than the UPDATES for the love of lol, uh. Pete.

I thought Mara was ever so GRACIOUS to keep it there for people to look at, when she could've just deleted it.

I thought the Slap Topic was drawing too much attention away from the boards as a whole. I mean, sure, it was fun for awhile, but it just got overrated and irritating.

Why go anywhere else on the boards when you have one topic to talk about all?

Oh. And the post count thing... remember that quiz topic I made? The cheat to getting posts? It's just as bad as that topic in a sense. Mara deleted it for a reason.

I just have never really posted for postings sake. I really actually try hard NOT to over-post, and feel really sheepish at having the high post count I do.

I post because I like talking to all of you. To be honest, I quite literally have no one else around to talk to. I live alone this summer, and all of my friends (the few I have managed to make out here) are gone. My family and boyfriend live in different states. So...I guess I post so much out of a sense of feeling like I have friends. You guys are great, and the slap topic was someplace where I truly felt like I was hanging out with people. Just kicking back and goofing off. Not because I wanted to get to the top ten. Just because it was fun.

Anyway. It may have been that to many people the slap topic was getting annoying. I completely understand why. But I was just surprised because I wasn't thinking in those terms before.

Well, Sunny, there are many many topics on these boards that aren't JN related. If we took them all away, we would lose a lot of the heart and soul of IDOJ. We come here because of Jimmy Neutron, but we stay for the friendships we make. At least, that is why I am here. I love JN, I make fanfics, music videos, and love reading fics and seeing all the art. But is that enough to keep me posting daily? No. I post because you guys have become friends to me, and I like laughing with you all, and listening to what's going on in your lives.

OH, AND THANK YOU MARA FOR NOT DELETEING IT. I have to look on the bright side, you could have done that. I love going through it for old times sake and there are many sweet people saying they'd pray and care, and then absolute craziness and quotes, etc. So thanks.
And, yeah, maybe in the future.

In a week or so I'll be used to it being closed. Until then, just a little weird.
But, I'm not MAD at you, Mara.

Though I still don't think it was a cheat. It was a real conversation at times, not all spam. Sometimes though :P

Sunny, I don't think "spamming" is only to raise post counts. It is because funny things are going on, and a person wants to join in the fun by being totally random and goofy.

Should we take away post counts from The Topic Of Epic Funny, too? That's all spam, isn't it?

Sorry Sunny, but I think you are just looking at this a bit narrow-mindedly. Posting isn't all about post counts. It's about having a good time with people you like to be around.
