Yay! Today was the last exam and the last day of the semester! WooHoo!!! I'm free!!!

Congrats on being done! I love the fact I can go brain dead until January. :D

*is jealous*

Well, maybe not exactly...

Right now, the more school I do the sooner I can graduate. That's one good thing about homeschooling. I can go as fast as I want.

Oh, I so wanna graduate and have MONTHS without any school at all before I start college!

GAH! COLLEGE!

Haha, I know. Most people always ask, "But what about FRIENDS? Don't you ever miss hanging out with people?" But I've been homeschooled for years, so I'm used to it. Plus, I have many friends who are also homeschooled and we get together all the time!

Ooops. Off-topic.

Beks: LUUUUUUCKY. Gwen and I are getting out Friday. I mean, that's just less than two days away, but still... you got out early luckyducklady. ): I CAN'T WAIT FOR WINTER BREAK. It's going to be amazazing.

Homeschooled people: You suck. Period. Okay, not really... I don't mind going to school because I know I'd NEVER get anything accomplished at home. I always put stuff off at home and right now I have four days make-up work to get done... *Shudders* Plus now I have to get up earlier in the morning so I can put coverup over the red marks left by my pox (they haven't completely healed yet). I hate thee, chickenpox. :angrymob:

Why homeschool? You paying for school and not going is pretty retarted... Sorry
BTW, I mean by taxes.

I go to a public school. We have 2 movable computer labs (move from class to class) with 30 laptops in each one, with 2.3 Ghz processor and a GB of RAM.
Plus, we have good desktop computers, wireless A, B, (A and B are through a specialized router to hold many connections and different wireless types) G, and N all over our school directly connected to our own fiber-optic line.

Our school is a specialized Math/science/technology accelerated 2-3 years, and the other subjects (SS, LA) accelerated by one year.

And guess what?
Enrollment is free.

But I'm not allowed to go to Public school. And money is too tight to enroll me in Christian school (Not to mention my 2 other sisters)

Oh, thanks. We wouldn't pay the gov. our money for a public school system we don't believe in if we could help it, but then my parents would go to jail. So we have to let them steal our money. I respect my parents for what they did for me, and if I could do it over again, I'd choose to be homeschooled again in a heartbeat. Please don't call us retarded. I don't mean to offend anyone, but I really, really don't believe in what the public schools teach and I don't like hearing homeschooling and homeschoolers dissed. (I know you weren't trying to be mean, aeharding...right?)

Noooow, I hope I don't have a bunch of mortal enemies now, but...there it is.

Alex,

Some kids aren't allowed to go to a public school. Sometimes it isn't safe, or the school my not be in their religon, or something heading toward that direction.

Actually, my school is big on Christainity. Which I am very proud of. Really, I wouldn't be able to find a teacher anyways. Plus, I like being public schooled, I learn better that way. Psh, when I went to a private school kids there didn't even know how to spell DOES.

What my point is, don't call homeschooled people 'retarted' (Btw, it's retarded.) because they're not.

COOL. We get to use labtops for some research paper in social studies, georgraphy, something like that.

I don't know about you, but they put them on our desks. But, for computer lab, we walk over to the library and use the big computers. :P

Thanks, Amanda. :D You're very fortunate (*cough, cough* wait a sec, I don't believe in fortune)... You are very blessed to have such a fine public school. The schools around here are atrocious. LOL. As Christians, the public school system's curriculum just didn't match up with our standards. Plus, during the years I did go to public school, my parents weren't impressed with how they dealt with things. I guess the school I was attending (eh, this was quite some time ago!) was holding me back to let the other students keep up with me or something. *shrugs* So...yeah. Mine was kinda crappy. So, that's why I'm homeschooled. And...I'm proud of it, too! :D :P

I know.

I was just saying, the ones around here are, uh, stupid unfortunately.

I got to a public school, and my school is best in the district. But, it's also very hard. I mean, giving seventh graders high school science is WRONG. -coughcough-

Okay, I like science this year, BUT WHATEV.

OK guys, not that I don't LOVE this discussion, but the Updates board is for UPDATES. Maybe I should make another "updates" forum in the sheer randomness section, since it seems to be so popular. <_<

~*(+Justine+)*~

First off, for the sake of correcting this mistake, you people take everything too seriously. CoughJustine. I said homeschoolers "SUCK" because you get to stay home and sleep in a bit. Did you not notice I was being jokingly envious, or can you not read a whole post and actually get it? Don't get into a debate over SCHOOLING and, so Mara won't kill us all, let's try to keep her UPDATES topic

in topic.

For once. D: (I know EVERYONE has gone off topic at least once on here, but please... )

So starting now

OMG MARA DO U HAV AN UPDAT 4 US????!/!/1/1/  In other words, anything going on on the IDOJ boards, your life, your college work, any new art, etc? Maybe a video? *Killed*

Ooh, Mara, what if for Christmas or New Years we held some sort of funraiser, except not for money... for art, fanfiction, and videos! We can maybe make a goal so we have tons of new stuff for IDOJ. I thought it would be nice since I know you're always scrounging for more artwork and stuff. I don't know how busy you are, though (with the holidays), so I that depends as well! I hope that's pretty in-topic... XD

P.S. Sorry for insanely mean post. Just mad how anyone could take something as light as THAT offensively.
P.P.S Sunny, now I guess I know how you feel (about the villager thing). Forgiveplz? </3

Krista, I'd rather you didn't say that. Even for a mispelling, it's kind of offensive.

...AND THIS COMMENT/REQUEST/THING DOES NOT MEAN THERE WILL BE A BATTLE OF THE RELIGIONS. SO IF YOU WERE THINKING ABOUT IT, BREAK YOUR FINGERS AND TYPE WITH YOUR TOES. D:

I'd like to see you TRY to type with your toes. It's long and painful and I don't know about you, but I would get awfully bored.

.:!Gwen!:.

[EDIT: Mara, look on the bright side! With people always wanting to input, they would have to read every post to get their information straight, which means no one will ever miss an update!]

Hi there! Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays too.

D'oh! Awhile back I posted an update Topic.
-I think it was Sunny that said, "Hey, what are you talking about?"

But it was Amanda that pointed out what to do.

I thought once a Topic disappeared from the "main page" from lack of use it was gone for good. I now see you can go back months, over a year. I've only tried a few Topics, but I've got back as far as October 2006.
-I think that's when Mara created the site.

Wow, that's a lot to read!

So excuse me for being a dork.
-"Why don't you arrest yourself for being a dork?" :P
-I'm still a Newbie in many respects! Not just to IDOJ, but to discussion boards in general. They sure have changed since the last time I was active online.

Bye for now!

LOLZMara. It's impossible to stay on topic. If we started an Off Topic Topic (and there's been like 5 of those), we'd STILL get off topic.

You are forgived, Krista. :D And LOL, glad you understand.

Gwen, what the HECK are you taking about? ...and I'd like to see you try and start a battle of religions. It's like Sunny vs IDOJ.
