Yeah, I mentioned that, I think.Did anyone mention the High-Ho Silver Shop? Like the Lone Ranger show?
-(Silver was the Lone Ranger's horse, I think.)
But like you said, this topic is huge. XD

We'll I'm a guy, so I didn't think so. :P
But I did love Spike. So much happened to him. He had such good stories.
Willow is probably my favorite character.
-But I fell in love with Amy, she was beautiful! (Not as a rat though.)
-Remember her? She was a witch, though not as powerful as Willow.
-(No one was as powerful as Willow.)
And I shouldn't be posting this, because I'll get in trouble for being off topic again.
-Maybe I'll go make a Buffy Topic.

I was watching the Christmas episode. It has some references, but I think they may have been noted already. (I'll have to double check.)
But here's one that might be new:
Hugh is decorating and he says "I love the smell of spray-on snow on Christmas Eve!"
I think that's a movie reference. Apocalypse Now, a movie about the Vietnam war, has a very famous quote.
-A soldier says "I love the smell of napalm in the morning."
-That quote has been parodied many times.
-I especially love one I heard on the Fairly Oddparents. Timmy said "I love the smell of Christmas in the morning!" Ha-ha!
Incidentally, napalm is a nasty burning fuel weapon, that levels forest and villages, in case you didn't know.
Peace on earth, goodwill toward men. (Women too!)

I think the line was, "I love the smell of napalm in the morning. It smells like...victory."-A soldier says "I love the smell of napalm in the morning."
To say nothing of what it does to flesh, which is why it's been internationally outlawed.-Incidentally, napalm is a nasty burning fuel weapon, that levels forest and villages, in case you didn't know.

I just noticed another one that I don't remember being mentioned.
In "Party at Neutrons" one of the prop's in the background is a "time booth" which is a red telephone booth that ... well probably travels in time. [I dont think it made an appearance in any other episode did it?]
In Any Case, It strikes an Uncanny resemblance to the TARDIS in Dr. Who.
..the JN version even has a light bulb on the top of it.
I thought that was cool
..yeah thats the only new one I've found.

Oh yes, the TARDIS. That's cool! I don't know much about Doctor Who but I like him.
-But Altered Egos, the Time Booth has been in a few episodes.
-Jimmy used it to travel back in time to make his dad rich in Time is Money.
-And he used it to bring Thomas Edison forward in time in ... hm ... now I can't remember the name of the episode! But Miss Fowl and Edison went on a date.
I was watching the movie recently, trying to answer Slinky's trivia question. And maybe I found a few more references.
When there are no parents left in Retroville and the kids are going wild, there's a scene in the Candy Bar.
-Jimmy, Sheen and Carl are dancing about on the table when Carl gets hit with some ice cream. (Or maybe a weird pie.) Britney comes up and says "What will it be boys?"
-"I'll have what he's throwing," Carl answers.
-"Excellent choice!" Britney replies, and smacks Sheen and Jimmy with plates of ice cream.
...
This could be a reference to a famous line and a famous scene in the movie "When Harry Met Sally." It's a romantic comedy starring Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal.
-I'm sad to say I can't really go into what the scene is about, for it's a bit on the adult side. (Wanna know? Go rent it on Netflix, or look up the movie in Wikipedia.)
-But it ends with a woman saying "I'll have what she's having."
-In 2005, that quote was listed 33rd on the AFI's 100 Years... 100 Movie Quotes list of memorable movie lines.
When Ooblar has Goddard strapped down in his lab, and is about to discect him, a hand pops out of Goddard and toys with Ooblar.
-Some of the noises and movements Ooblar makes are very much like the world famous Curly Howard of the Three Stooges.
And lastly, and this might be a stretch ...
-Again, when the kids are going crazy, and they've flooded the school halls, Cindy and Libby are jet skiing and water skiing through the halls.
-This could be a take on a 1998 movie called Hard Rain. In that movie, starring Morgan Freeman and Christian Slater, a flood hits a small town. The main plot is Slater trying to guard money from Freeman, who's set upon stealing it.
-Hm, I can't remember it too well. Pretty nice special effects. And I want to say there was a scene with a jet ski crashing through a church's stained glass window. But whether they jet skied through a school, I can't recall.
-I mention it because I could have sworn I read about this somewhere before.
And that's it for now!
Cya!

About napalm, Sheen also says in Sorry, Wrong Era "I love the smell of banana in the morning". "I love the smell of napalm in the morning" says lieutenant Kilgore, commander of a helicopter cavalry group in Appocalipe Now. And weapons are not nasty, nasty could be people who use them.

In The Great Gatsby, Myrtle says this about her dress:
"It's just a crazy old thing," she said. "I just slip it on sometimes when I don't care what I look like."
That sounds remarkably like Cindy's comment in King of Mars:
"You mean my perfume?" she said. "I just splash this on when I don't care what I smell like."

It goes something like, "Somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout. But there is no joy in Retroville cause Jimmy is an IDIOT!"
That refers to a poem by Ernest Lawrence Thayer called Casey at the Bat. The last part of the last stanza goes "And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout. But there is no joy in Mudville, Mighty Casey has struck out."
I know that poem by heart, and it's been bothering me for a few years now which poem that was that she spoofed, cause I knew I knew it. And today I was playing with my pencil in calc and I was thinking about something totally unrelated when I suddenly thought, "But there is no joy in Mudville, Mighty Casey has struck out." And I was like ... OMG!!!!
That was probably mentioned already but it was like "Revelation!"

Hm, I don't know if this has been mentioned or not. I don't think so.
In "Jimmy on Ice," when Carl is running to generate sweat, they play some fast music.
I think the music sounds like the song "Maniac," as featured in Flashdance, where Jennifer Beals (or her body double) is dancing real fast and getting really sweaty.

Maternotron Knows Best.
-First of all, the title itself is a take on an old television show, Father Knows Best.

When Maternotron says it's time for Jimmy and Hugh's bath, there's some music played; squealing violins.
-That's definitely a take on the horror classic, PSYCHO.

Directed by Alfred Hitchcock. 1960.
-And when this happens:

The violins really kick in and the audience jumps in terror. One of the best sequences ever put to film.
And that's it for now!

Since my "Name that reference" topic was obviously going nowhere,
I thought I'd start a new topic just listing the movie and/or pop culture references in Jimmy Neutron that I think most people on this board would miss rather than trying to make a quiz out of it. I'll start with the two I mentioned in the dead thread. Feel free to add any that you can think of. I'll probably end up just talking to myself here, but what the heck!
1. The computer Jimmy builds to run McSpanky's in "Men at Work" is a reference to the HAL 9000 computer from "2001: A Space Odyssey".
2. When Carl says "Klatu barada nicto" in "Time is Money", it's a refence to the old sci-fi classic "The Day The Earth Stood Still".

Just watched "Jimmy for President," and in the campaign speeches, Sheen screams at Willoby to "tear down this wall." Took me a while, but then I remembered: Reagan and Berlin, anyone?
And in (I think) "How to sink a sub," Jimmy does a parody of "friends, countrymen, lend me your ears" from Caesar. Long play, but good.
