Bear in mind that my friend applied the phrase to a more adult context.

This is the problem when most of your friends are older than you are...

Exactly, but I don't think Cindy would realize this, even if she's 30. She always seemed like the no-nonsense type. If I were to tell her what my friend thought it meant, most likely she'll kick butt so hard my friend my friend won't see the end of tomorrow.
