Oh yeah. Nowadays MPreg probably has a bigger fandom following than regular pregnancy.

Although, after seeing the episode "Whose Your Mommy", I can safely say that I will never explore that angle either

I don't know, its just that all the mpreg stories in my main fandom are really...short. They feel unfinished. Like quick little drabbles someone threw together just to add to the collection, whether they're angsty and heartwarming, or silly and cracky. Very few of them feel like a full-lenth fic; the kind you'd want to save and reread all the time.

Depsite the kink/theme kind of wearing out its welcome, I might want to give it a shot someday to give the fandom something complete.

You could write a full-length, completely believable, stunningly heart-warming story featuring a male seahorse's pregnancy. Instant hit!

I won't go as far as to say I'll never have pregnancy in a fic, but how about this...I'll never have a female character get pregnant. If someone's gonna get pregnant in something I write, its gonna be a guy.

Ehh, I used to feel that way, but I'm more lenient about it now.

For me it just has to make sense (at least in context of the universe the fandom takes place in). If its the kind of show/series/universe where weirdass stuff like that is always happening, or has a lot of pseudo-scientific or supernatural elements to it, I'm down with that. Anything that can be accepted as in-character is okay with me.

If you just randomly had an average sitcom dad like Michael Kyle or Danny Tanner knocked up, yeah, f*ck that. I'm not readin'.

Yeah, but again, that I could SORT of see, because both those shows do revolve around "magic" and "science", so I might be able to understand the author's thinking.

But I don't like the ages. They're ten years old. I don't want to read about ten-year-old boys with a bun in the oven. No. Just no.

Edit: Even if they were 20-something, just HOW would that work?? It's anatomically impossible for a male to deliver a child, at least, in mammals. Wait, don't answer that. I don't wanna know...

Well, that is why its called "fiction." Half that stuff that happens on those shows isn't possible, too. Not much difference, besides the fact that this one is not for the faint of heart.

I know its super corny to laugh at your own lines, and I hate doing it, but...after rereading it after you've quoted it...yeah. That was pretty damn funny of me. Why does everything come out like that?

And actually, I take back what I said about not finding any that feel complete. That's just for most of them, but I do remember about two that I really liked. It was just back before I saved fics to my computer, and now I'll have to dig around for them. But they were the exception to the majority.

I've just never seen one that felt really good, in-character, and complete for the ship I want to try it for.
