I started reading this, but I only got through the first chapter so far.

I'm really busy all the time so it might take me a really long time to get through this, but when I do I will write a review..

Just wanted to give everyone an update on how the next chapter is proceeding:
basically, I'm stuck. Why? Because every damn line of dialogue I write ends up sounding like complete and total NARM.

Let me just say that it is SOOOO difficult to pull off a fight scene in a non-visual medium. I mean, when you describe someone getting punched in the face and crashing to the floor, it just comes off as...funny somehow.

Not to mention that, when their powers combine, DJ and Aurora are possibly two of the biggest effing melodrama generators this world has ever seen.

DJ: I KEEL JOOOOOOOO BUT FIRST I GRAB YOUR ASS WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!1! **lightning bolts**

OMG, I cannot stop laughing now. The mental images...

All I can suggest is to listen to mood music while writing (like, if it's angry-ish, listen to angry music or whatever). This may make it sound a little more "natural," if you know what I mean. I really hate writing fights for this very reason.

That's actually a really good suggestion. I just need to find something violent sounding enough. Better try heavy metal...

Of course, the potential problem with that is confusing the mood in my mind caused by the music with the mood of the words as they appear on paper. In other words, I might get tempted to let the music write the story for me, ignoring the actual structure of what I'm writing.

I know how that is. So far, with the music going into Comet, most of the time, the lyrics of the song can tend to etheir give me an idea better than my head or can detour me into a writing limbo.

I see a lot of that in example essays from previous AP tests.

I have a whole packet of glorious Narm in my English binder. I have to find it now. I want to reread it.

P.S. Twilight is full of Narm. Especially those scenes in the New Moon movie when Bella is half asleep, and she's just screaming. I lol'd so hard when I saw. But I was apparently the only one in the theater who saw the Narm.

I think my problem is that I can't take this shiz seriously. I'm way too involved in my own fandom for my own good '...your perverted jokes and character memes have made it impossible for me to take DJ seriously. Or FC. Or FS. Or anyone for that matter.

You do realize that having you not finish TOSOT has been DJ's evil plan all along, don't you? (*evil laugh*) It gives him more time to finish his TOSOT-BOT and take over writing the ending to ensure it ends HIS way. I can't help my actions in this effort. DJ and I are one and the same, after all.

Also, I prefer to think of it as "insight" rather than "inside jokes" about DJ. After all, without me you never would have been able to fully grasp the depths of that man's perversion. Just helping with character development, that's all.
