My cousin Cameron lent me Fallout 4 to keep me occupied while I’m sitting around sick as a frickin' dog

Here’s my lady, Iris.

I’m going for a charismatic, intelligent sort of character who wants caps and power but also genuinely wants to make the wasteland a better place. She’s willing to put others before herself, but she’s also totally cool with shooting people in the face. So don’t be a f*ckwit

I've been playing a lot of the sandbox shooter Just Cause 2 lately.

You play as a US special operative deployed to the pacific island of Panau to help the people overthrow an evil dictator who... Ok I'll just cut the crap, you play as a bat sh** crazy US government sponsored terrorist special operative who is hunting down his former mentor... and a dictator just happens to be in your way. So you overthrow him by causing chaos, working with criminal gangs, stealing government property and shooting anyone who tries to stop you.

Grappling hooks, guns, cars, guns, a giant floating strip club a mile in the sky, guns, tanks, guns this game is just ridiculous in the best possible way... and did I mention it has a multiplayer mod?

Portal 2, again, for the third time all the way through the main storyline I believe? I love Portal so much, I was just recently introduced to it by a friend and wow, it's amazing.

The first time I played the games all the way through was a bit of an emotional ride, lol. I've always loved video games, but up until recently I hadn't played many games that are like first-person you're in that person's shoes or you are that person and you have to fight to survive. I've mostly play games more along the line of Mario games, racing games, Nancy Drew mystery games or something similar, absolutely worlds apart. But I gotta say that Portal's got me wanting to play more games like it.

So back in April, I acquired Undertale. It's a excellent game with strange humour and a fun combat system. It's got lots of hidden secrets and multiple endings. Also great music. Would recommend to those here.
http://undertale.com
(You can also now apparently get it on Steam)

So I got it in April. I played through the game twice on my own over the course of a week or so. Then I checked the Internet and discovered two more endings that affect the plot of the game as well as the end. So I did those.

Now the boss of the genocide run is the hardest boss I have played in video games in years. This is a boss that cannot be beat by increasing your character's stats. (And they are almost maximum anyway because you killed everything.) The only way to defeat this boss was skill. I battled him about 50 times. He still lived. I stopped playing the game for awhile as the homestuck ending had just come out and I was consumed by that.

Then in June, I was looking through things on my computer, came across Undertale, and decided to try that boss fight again. Another 50 or so tries, an equal amount of death for me. You may think a boss this hard is frustrating, but it doesn't seem that way. This is a genocide run. You have killed every character up to this point without mercy. You basically deserve the beat down you are receiving.

Now we cut to yesterday. After listening to the Undertale soundtrack on my phone, I decided now would be a great time to fight the boss again. Each attempt is taking longer now, as I can make it most of the way through the fight before dying. After 23 attempts ending with such a close one to actually beating him, no luck.

I decided to take a break. I had lunch. I went to a Pokemon go party in the park across my street. Later that day, I loaded up Undertale one more time. With 1 more try, the boss was finally defeated.

TL;DR: Undertale. You should play it.

The final boss of the genocide run provides an excellent challenge.

I really need to get back into playing Dayz, the game has sooo many different challenges that you will always have a unique experience. Just a headsup the video can get a tad loud and there is some language scattered about.

https://youtu.be/eCrEc8u6mpg?t=17m29s

I've had such a great and varied experience with this series of games/mods I've ambushed and murdered other players, sacrificed myself to help squad mates escape, laid siege to bandit groups to to secure weapon caches, stormed zombie infested villages to rescue wounded trapped and wounded survivors, shot down choppers, and parachuted into zombie overrun camps with nothing but my rifle and a military pack full of medical supplies. If you like survival, zombies, or just a fun real feeling military game then I would advise you to try it.

And for those of you wondering yes that was a speeder bike modded in.

Just finished my first playthrough of Fallout 4. It was a lot of fun, though it might have been a bad idea to become addicted to this just when college started again... :P Now, I'm doing a bit of post-game stuff, while waiting for the Far Harbour expansion to come on sale.

Anyway, I thought I'd share some pictures of my character - Reina Reyes. I don't usually play as a female character in video games, so I figured I'd change it up here.

Decided to focus mainly on Charisma, so I could solve problems non-violently.

So I have been playing a crap ton of Hyrule Warriors lately. Its a pretty fun game whether you are playing solo or with a friend. The premise is pretty darn simple, a crazy sorceress decides to gather a near limitless army of monsters and invade Hyrule and in response Zelda, Link, Impa and virtually every other able bodied man or woman in Hyrule decide, "Oh like heck we're gonna let you take our kingdom from us!"

What follows is a massive war where you get to battle your way across Hyrule with a massive list of characters from all the Legend of Zelda games.

Link, Zelda, Impa, Tingle, Darunia, Midna, Ruto and many more including several new characters introduced in this game.

Love that game. All the characters power is insane. I got pretty good with Lana and Agitha, although I still find The Imprisioned really tough.
I haven't been able to play it in a couple months though because a flood destroyed my TV.

Impa, Young Link and Linkle are my main champions. I've got Impa and Young Link over lvl 110. As for who I struggle to defeat it all depends on the mission, my younger brother and I have gotten really far on the adventure maps and dear god are some of them hard.

Last game I played was Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock

81TJ-8Dm4mL._SX342_.jpg

One of the best rhythm games ever made and my personal favourite of the Guitar Hero series.

My favourite tracks from the game are:
Metallica & Ozzy Osbourne - Paranoid (Live)
My Chemical Romance - I'm Not Okay (I Promise)
Fall Out Boy - Dance, Dance
Rise Against - Savoir
Drowning Pool - Bodies
Flyleaf - Again
Muse - Uprising
Styx - Renegade
Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country
Dragonforce - Fury of the Storm

That's not even getting into the various DLC tracks I bought between 2011 and 2014. (That was when Activision decided to pull all of the DLC)

Been playing a lot of Splatoon recently.

Played through the story mode, and played enough multiplayer to bring my Inkling up to Level 9. (I used to be Level 13, but I lost my old save)

Wow, apparently this thread hasn't been updated in a while. Let's bring it back from the dead.

Fittingly enough, on that note, the most recent game I played through was The Walking Dead: The Final Season.

A perfect conclusion to the Telltale series, despite the studio closure, subsequent delays, and random Epic Games Store exclusivity on the PC version (jesus christ why).
