There are more factors than just quantity, and other variables besides kisses. Jimmy and Cindy have WAY more 'tension' moments than Jimmy/April or Jimmy/Betty...

I love the pairings in JN, and as I said a few posts back, there are no specific ones I can't stand... but I think I'm starting to realize that, when it comes to characters' relationships, I'm actually more interested in friendships than couples...

 

I definitely ship J/C & S/L when it comes to couples... but I find I think more about their relationships with other characters than I do about the couples.

 

For instance, I find Jimmy's relationship with April interesting - not as a couple, but just as friends. I would have liked to see more interactions between them, and to see her get to know the rest of the gang better. I would also have liked to learn more about Gorlock culture and, in turn, see April come to Earth, to see what she thinks of our culture.

 

I also love the relationship between Cindy and Carl & Sheen. At first she couldn't stand them, but by the end of the series I think she sees them as siblings in a way - like she'll still make fun of them herself, but if someone else does, she'll kick their butt!

 

I'm interested in Jimmy & Libby's relationship too, as we don't see much of just them interacting. They're mostly just connected by their relationships with other characters. I'd have liked to see this relationship develop more.

 

There's the obvious friendships too of course - I love the camaraderie in Jimmy, Carl and Sheen's friendship, and the mutual respect and trust in Cindy & Libby's friendship.

 

So yeah... While I love the pairings, I guess I'm actually more interested in the non-romantic relationships...

Jimmy/Sheen will always hold a special place in my shipper's heart, even though I haven't been invested in JN ships in quite some time. Still my third favorite ship in this fandom.

I don't remember, actually. I think it was an unfinished ship fic on fanfiction.net. It was some sort of Sheen/Jimmy/Nick triangle slashfic? I don't remember much about it except I thought it was fairly well written. Dunno if I'd still think so today, though. I frequently purge my favorite fics list on fanfiction.net when I realize that one of my favorite stories is mediocre at best. Only the ones with the strongest sentimental value remain on the list after those purges. Along with ones that actually are high-quality writing, of course.

Just like Mara's are, I guess! You probably won't ever read mine, since they're probably just chicken scratch compared to Mara's fics. But I really feel like I've improved a LOT since I published my first oneshot on FF! Honest to goodness!

another ship   I don't really like  (but not to the point of can't stand) is probably J/B (which I think should be a bit obvious for me lol)  I just can't see it working out, since Jimmy and Betty seem to be so different.

Exactly. That's just how I feel about that pairing. I don't support it by any means, but I still respect it and those who ship it. I still think J/B is cute as a non-canon pairing, though...

I think I can honestly see J/B. I prefer J/C I mean, if you know me, you know this. But Betty is sweet (bland yes) but she does appreciate and believe in Jimmy in a way that Cindy can fail to. 

 

Judy/ Carl is a bit  creepy. I think that's the only ship that would come close to the area of me not being able to stand it.

 

But it's more.. like.. why? :S

I think Junk Man/Beautiful Gorgeous is gross... if I'm going to stay canon. Also I agree with Carl/Judy but kinda goes without saying. I believe it was meant to be creepy.
