I'm SO joining! I effin' LOATHE Twilight! Cuz the idea of a girl falling for a VAMPIRE and DATING him even though she :uhoh: KNOWS he's dangerous is just ridiculous!!!!! Plus, I don't believe in vampires, and also, vampires are SUPPOSED to be hideous-looking, not totally HOT, like those who like the series say. I don't mind the vampires looking hot. That I'm ok with.

It's the fact that they sparkle that I object to.

Real vampires don't sparkle, damn it!

Hot vampires can be cool (C'mon, Interview With the Vampire?), but they shouldn't sparkle. They also shouldn't supposedly interact with people from the current gen but still talk like they're in the 1800's. Speech patterns adapt, people.

Lol, in art class today, someone my friend Ruth and I got to talking about Twilight (no idea how.)
She was like, "I probably wouldn't read it, because it might scare me..."

I blinked and said, "Ruth, they sparkle."

She stared at me, blinking. Moments later she stuttered, "Sparkle?!"

I nodded. And to put it in more detail, I grabbed her by the shoulder and shook her, yelling, "They sparkle! They sparkle!"

She blinked again, and said, "Nevermind."

Its ok. I don't mind. I can understand why people don't like it. It doesn't have a plot line or a conflict or any of that stuff. Stephanie isn't the best writer, but I try to look past all that.

I don't think readers are stupid for liking it or anything, it just grates on my nerves. I read a lot of vampire novels, and it felt like she took all the cliches and blended them together. "Look at the sexy vampire! LOOK! Fall in love with him, dang it!".....No. No, I will not. I will stay over in my world with the logical romances and the girl protagonists who have their flaws like they're supposed to. *draws line in sand* Stephanie Meyers, you go on that side with Amelia Atwhater-Rhodes. Anne Rice, straddle the line because sometimes you're good, sometimes you're just as cliched. Darren Shan, you go stand on the other side, cause you're awesome.

Blah Twilight is one of those books that everyone told me to read so I picked it up and couldn't get passed the tenth page. <_< Total waste of money.


Plus, I feel like her book is a copy of this other book I read before except with Vampires.



I googled all those things and had to laugh. :lol: :P




... Of course I spelled Twilight wrong and had to go back and edit it. :rolleyes: If you really want a good laugh look it all up on Urban dictionary.
