I applaude you, Katie, for reviving this topic. Looks like it's been dead for AGES! -_- :thumbsup: :dance:

Fanfiction is awesome indeed. It's like anyone can give any interpretation to any TV show, anime, cartoon, etc and put their own spin on it.

But thanks a bunch, Katie. Maybe after this people can start talking about fanfics again! :thumbsup:

I just couldn't help it. Fanfiction is catnip to me. :) Have you read any really good ones lately?

I've discovered a few new ones I really like on fanfiction.net (my home sweet home). The main one being Chasing Thunderstorms by Foxy'sGirl. It's a HTTYD fic rated T (which it deserves for swearing and other things) but it is written beautifully and completely in character. :)

I swear, my fic Emerging Compassions is getting even more intense as I write it!! Read it, any and everyone, you'll find out just HOW intense it can get! Plus it's got yummy cliffhangers!! :popcorn:

Oh, how I wish more people would geek out over fanfic with me. :) I'm such a lame-o. :)

Lovin' the new stuff out there! Especially Chasing Thunderstorms. Gosh, that fic is superb! Also, I wish Kristen (Don't Ever Look Back- FutureAirbender) would update again. I love her writing. :D And she is a sweetheart.

Gosh, I may have strayed from JN fiction for a while, but I always come back. LOL ... I think I need to see a doctor.

I wish there were more finished fics out there - I generally only read fanfics if the story is already complete or if I know for a fact that the author will finish. Sigh...

Yeah, I've been doing that too, lately. Whenever I search any section of ff.net I use the filter to only look at complete works. But then it makes me feel bad that the only fanfics I've ever finished have been oneshots...Posted Image


But I promise: Once I'm done with my novel for NaNo, I will continue my Snow White adaptation. Hopefully I'll get another chapter out by Christmas.

I know, Mara! I feel your pain. :) But I like reading so I sometimes fall into the trap of reading a story that will never be finished. One of my favourites of all time hasn't been finished yet.

Yeah, tell me about it. <_< Writing fics can be fun and all but it's also very time and patience-consuming, depending on how ambitious you are with it. It's as if anyone can think up of great ideas or fun ideas but very few finish up on them. Not to mention our own personal lives often gets very demanding and distracting from finishing anything. <_<

However I, on the other hand, am in this for the long haul with my fics. I would like to see AT LEAST one of them finished before forever cause God knows the creative process takes a long time. It's like raising kids, being patient with them and working on their good traits and bad until their complete and ready to go to the outer wide world.... :thumbsup:

Man, I've given this far too much thought. :rolleyes: :lol:
