Chapter 16: Race to Find an Antidote


"What I think you should do is to just take it as it comes, Betty," Jimmy cautiously informed her.

"Do you believe abortion is the smartest route to take in my situation?!" she nervously wanted to know.

"Never!" he exclaimed, feeling quite shocked that Betty'd actually suggested that, "All abortion is is the taking of a new life that's just been started! That, to me, is considered bloody MURDER!!!"

"Okay, I'm definitely NOT going in that direction, Jimmy! But what about your dire situation??!" Betty anxiously questioned.

"The real question," Jimmy replied, "is how we're going to get a sample of that chemical for me to analyze without having to draw a blood sample from me."

Carl, who'd been listening since he woke up after being splashed with water from after he'd fainted, pointed at the small robot that was still laying on the lab's cement floor and told his friend, "Maybe there's a still a little bit left in that robot for you to use!"

Jimmy's eyes lit up when he heard that and he exclaimed, "That's IT! Carl, you're a genius!!"

He shyly looked at his feet and giggle-snorted, saying sheepishly, "Daw, tell me something I don't know!"

Then he called Goddard over, saying, "C'mere, Goddard!"

He bounded over to his master, looked at him, and cocked his head curiously.

"Scan this rusted robot to certify if any of the foreign chemical remains stowed in its interior, boy!" Jimmy additionally instructed.

Goddard barked his reply and scanned the small, rusted robot for any remaining traces of the foreign chemical in it.

Within seconds, the results of the scan showed up on VOX's screen. He surveyed them and saw that there was indeed a small portion of the foreign chemical that remained. "A few droplets are all I need," Jimmy concluded, slicing the robot in half with a mini-laser and dumping the last few drops onto a microscope slide. He took one look at it under the microscope and gasped in bewilderment, "I don't believe it!!!!!"

Libby came back with Jesse after she'd consoled her and asked, "What's so shocking, Neutron?!"

"This particular species of protozoa is not found on our earth, but on Planet Gorlock. It's fairly harmless to Gorlocks, as they are pretty much immune to it, only giving them a minor cough, but if a human is exposed to it, it only gives him/her a few days to live!" he explained, a horrified look in his eyes.

Then Jimmy stole a glance at Cindy and saw that her eyes were still watery, and she was rubbing them a time or 2. Then he asked her, "Hey, Vortex, are you crying?"

"NO!" she snapped, wiping a tear from her eye, "I just have something in my eye!"

He just rolled his eyes when he heard that one.

"Hey, I saw that, Freak Brain! And I am n-not!!" Cindy hissed.

"Yeah, you are!" Jimmy informed her.

"N-No, I'm n-n-not!" she tried to protest, her voice getting shaky.

He chuckled lightly and commented, "Uh, yeah, you are."

Tears welled up in Cindy's eyes as she sputtered weakly in defense, "I-I-I a-a-am n-n-n-not!"

"Yes, you are, Vortex," Jimmy stated plainly with a smirk.

"Ok-k-KAY, f-FINE, so I-I a-a-a-am, D-D-Dork-tron!! W-Why m-m-must y-you b-be s-s-so p-pushy?!!" Cindy sobbed, and ran off to a far corner of the lab with her hands covering her face. Libby almost immediately ran after her.

"What's with her?" Sheen asked Carl.

Carl just shrugged. "Beats me!" he admitted.

"I just think she's jealous...," Jesse muttered loudly.

Jimmy looked up from the work he'd returned to and asked, "What was that, Jesse?"

She immediately blushed and stammered, "Nothing! I said nothing!"

It was gonna take more than that to fool him! He persisted, "I heard what you said, Jesse! Cindy's jealous of who?"

Jesse looked cautiously at the others, then walked up to Jimmy, leaned over and cupped her hands over his ear, and whispered, "Jealous of ME."

He blinked in astonishment :blink: and stared at her, stupified. Then, a few moments later, he said quietly, "How would she be jealous of YOU?!?"

Blushing even more, Jesse admitted, "Cuz I like you and think you're hot!"

Jimmy just stared at her, mouth slightly agape and eyes wide open. He thought to himself, Okay, the world as I know it has gone completely insane! Did Jesse just say she LIKED me?!?! I mean, she barely knows me!! And why did she say I was HOT??!

Wow Cindy's crying, Jimmy's life is at stake, and Jesse said Jimmy is hot.
Things are really heating up here.

Even more intense, and funny, than the last! I'm REALLY feeling Cindy's emotions there.

I'm loving this alot. You put so much emotion yet make it short so it doesn't drag on too much.

Been 4 days, I know, but the long wait is over! Here's Chapter 17!!!!!!

Chapter 17: The Time Draws Closer...


After Jesse told him this, Jimmy just stood there for a few moments, mouth agape and eyes wide open, not knowing what to think.

Cindy apparently saw this after she'd returned from Libby's consoling and waved her hand in front of his face, saying rather loudly, "Hello?? Nerd-tron, are ya just gonna stand there like a lunatic or are ya gonna do something about your dire situation?! HELLO?!! Earth to FREAK-TRON!!!" She then snapped her fingers for good measure.

"WOAH!!!!" Jimmy exclaimed out of shock, shaking his head violently and returning to reality. Then he asked Jesse, "What in the name of Albert Einstein made you say those things to me, Jesse?!?!"

She just shrugged and admitted, taking a sip of the Purple Flurp she'd brought with her, "I dunno, Jimmy. I guess it's just one of those things."

He saw what she was drinking and urged, "No, no, no, no, NO!! Don't drink that, Jesse!!!!"

Jesse rolled her eyes, set down the can of Purple Flurp, and commented, "Oh, please! What's the worst that could happen, Jimmy??!" Then she suddenly got a blank look on her face and stared vacantly into space.

Jimmy took one look at her and gasped, "Jumpin' Jupiter, not you, too?! Can this get ANY worse??!!"

Libby pointed to VOX's screen and told him, "If by worse, ya mean that yo' time with us is gettin' shorter, then yes, Neutron!!"

He looked at the countdown on the screen and realized aloud, "That must be how much longer I have to live! Research for my cure needs to be initiated immediately!!!" With that, he began typing furiously at his keyboard.

A few moments later, the results came up on the screen, and this time, they were very promising. The ingredients, if consumed by themselves, were toxic, but when combined, they'd form an antidoted that would cure him.

"Okay," Jimmy announced, reading off the ingredients on the screen, "The ingredients are as follows:
-hydrochloric acid,
-cyanide,
-sodium dioxide, and
-king cobra venom.
"These ingredients are toxic by themselves, but when combined, they'll form an antidote that'll cure me! Fortunately, I have the first 3 here in my lab. We'll just have to head to rural India to find the fourth. Everyone, to-"

"Can I say it, Jimmy?? Huh? HUH?! Can I?! Can I??! PLEASE??!!" Sheen begged, hyper as ever.

"Go ahead, Sheen," Jimmy muttered.

"To the rocket!!" he proclaimed.

Everyone climbed in except Jesse, who was still mind-controlled, Jimmy started it up, and they were soon on their way to India.

My favorite part was when Sheen wanted to say the "To the rocket part."

Oh yeah the concoction of an antidote.

Chapter 18: Adventure In the Indian Wilderness


It took, using Jimmy's rocket, approximately 4 hours to reach India. On the way there, Sheen found ways to be obnoxious, as usual. He did so by pestering Libby.

"What do ya think of this nickname: Pop Mama?" he asked.

"Uhn-uh!" Libby protested, shaking her head.

"Gangstress of Love??"

"No WAY!!"

"Sista of Funk?"

"Heck, no!!"

"Libby-licious???"

"No, Sheen!! Now, would ya just STOP it?!?!" Libby sharply demanded.

"Okay, OKAY! Fine, YEESH!! Ya don't have to yell about it!!! I'm just so dang BORED! For once, I fogot to bring my game with me!" Sheen snapped.

Cindy just sighed, placed her hand on her forehead, and shook her head, thinking, Oh, great! Here we go again!! I swear, that Ultra-FREAK is gonna get on my last nerve!!! Then she barked at Sheen, "Ultra-Dork, either ZIP that mouth of yours shut, or I'll do it FOR you when we get there!!!"

"Well, excuse YOU for being a big-mouthed, wanna-be BRAT...," Sheen muttered under his breath, but Cindy heard it nevertheless, thinking Jimmy said it.

"Hey, I heard that, DWEEB-tron!!" she hissed.

"What?! Vortex. that wasn't ME!!!" Jimmy protested, remaining focused on what was in front of him, "For your information, I didn't say anything!! That was Sheen who said that!"

Cindy then looked over at Sheen and scowled at him, shaking her fist in his direction. He just stuck his tongue out at her in retaliation and blew a wet strawberry.

Some of it landed on Jimmy, which made him temporarily look over at him and give him a disgusted look, then he wiped it off his arm and scolded him, "Sheen, next time, watch what you're doing and where you're aiming when you DO that!!"

"Sorry, Jimmy! I was aimin' at Cindy cuz she insulted me!" Sheen explained.

"Just be careful, and don't do it when I'm in between the 2 of you!" he told him, giving him a stern look.

Suddenly, Carl shrieked, "I WANT MY MOMMY!!!!!!"

"Chill out, Carl! What's gotcha all worked UP?!" Sheen asked, turning around and looking at him.

"We're about to CRASH!!!" he screamed, pointing at the ground the rocket was fast approaching.

Cindy and Libby saw this, as well, and screamed at the top of their lungs while embracing eachother, just as Carl and Sheen were doing.

Jimmy tried to regain control of the rocket, but he couldn't because the controls were mysteriously frozen! So, he just clutched Goddard and braced himself for impact with the others, shrieking at the top of his lungs, as well!

Within 10 seconds, the rocket crashed into the desert sands, rocks, and shrubs of rural India.

Once she got over the shock, Cindy snapped out of annoyance and fury, "Now that we've crash-landed in the middle of the :uhoh: desert, Spew-tron, what exactly are ya gonna DO about it?!?!" :mad:

"I don't know, Vortex! I'm gonna have to utilize the resources at hand so we can figure a way out of here!!" Jimmy barked, highly annoyed.

Right after the gang stepped out of the barely-wrecked rocket, Goddard started barking and growling at something the others couldn't sense, but he could. "What is it, boy?" he asked him.

Then some movement in the rocks and sand caught Jimmy's eye. He looked where he saw the movement and asked Goddard, "Is this what you saw, Goddard?"

He barked his reply and continued to growl at the creature in the sand. Soon, it emerged from the sand and revealed itself to be a king cobra!

"Perfect!" Jimmy exclaimed, starting to run after it, "That's just what we need!!"

But, instead of slithering away like a normal snake would, it confronted him face-to-face while standing on its tail and wound its coils around him and the rest of the gang all at once, including Goddard. Then, to the gang's surprise, it spun its tail around rapidly like a propeller and lifted them off the ground, taking them into a nearby secluded cavern.

"What's going on, Neutron?! And where exactly ARE we?!!" Cindy snapped, struggling to break free, but it was in vain.

"I don't know, Vortex, but this is no ordinary cobra!!" Jimmy sharply told her.

She just rolled her eyes and muttered loudly, "No DUH, Captain Obvious!" The rest of the gang just shivered out of fear as they were taken ever deeper into the dark, mysterious cave...

It's pretty good... I'm sort of biased against it because I nearly instaantly get suspicious of anything prominently featuring OCs, hunting for Mary Sues to ridicule... but your writing style is good and I can't point out anything I dislike so far.

Chapter 19: Encounter with Evil Jimmy


As the gang was carried ever farther into the cave, Jimmy muttered to himself, "I have a feeling I know who's behind this..."

Cindy, who was wedged between him and Sheen, heard him and remarked sarcastically, "Oh, really? Ya think, King Cranium?!"

Then an automated door shut behind them and bright lights lit up the whole area.

Then the snake, which really turned out to be a robot, dropped them into a large cage. The top of it shut and locked closed the cage automatically, eliminating any hope of escape.

The gang then laid their eyes on the rest of the area. It revealed itself to be a fully-functional Purple Flurp factory that sent out the drink without the insertion of the essential secret ingredient, run by various forms of the mysterious robot that had infected Jimmy.

And there, and the far end of the factory, sat Evil Jimmy himself, supervising the progress of his evil plan.

"Let us GO, you fiend!!!" Jimmy shouted at him.

"Certainly!" he responded evilly, "In about 4 days!!"

"What are you talking about?! I'll no longer be around by then!!!" Jimmy snapped.

"Exactly," Evil Jimmy sneered.

"He's a goner," Sheen muttered in despair, referring to Jimmy.

Carl just fainted out of shock when he heard Evil Jimmy's words.

"Neutron, if ya wanna save your own butt, now might be a good time to use that big brain of yours!!" Cindy urgently informed him.

"She's right!" Libby agreed, "Yo' life depends on you!!" Then she thought, That was weird!

"Okay, OKAY!! Jeez!" he said sharply, then shut his eyes tightly and muttered under his breath, "Think... think... THINK...!!!" A series of images flew through his mind: water instantly rusting that robot; halting the production of the modified Purple Flurp. Then Jimmy proclaimed, "Brain BLAST!!!! Guys, pay attention closely! I have a plan to save the world!!"
