A New Kid In Town

Chapter 14: A Small But Deadly Robot


"Oh, great! Now my LIFE is on the line?!" Jimmy groaned, "What else could go wrong??!"

Jesse gasped in horror. "How is your life in peril?!!" she exclaimed fearfully.

Then Sheen noticed something peculiar and pointed. "Before you say anything, what that leech doing on the back of your neck, Jimmy?!" he informed his friend.

"I don't have a leech latched onto me, Sheen!" Jimmy snapped, then felt the back of his neck, just to be sure. Sure enough, he felt something strange back there, but it didn't feel wet and slimy. Instead, it felt smooth, long, and dry with multiple segments. "What the HECK is this?!" he finally pondered sharply, trying in vain to yank it off, though it was incredibly painful.

"Neutron, don't MOVE!!" Cindy firmly instructed him as she drew nearer to him for a closer look at the odd device.

He started to protest, but something in her tone of voice made him obey.

She scrutinized it a few moments, then concluded, "Huh. Just as I thought... A robot!!!" An even closer inspection led her to discover a tiny, yet clearly visible, atom symbol with a capital "E" in the very center on the small robot. "I knew it! This is none other than the work of your evil clone, no doubt!" Cindy finally told him, "But what I don't get is how to get it off of you without hurting you!"

"Touché," Jimmy muttered, then his eyes lit up and he exclaimed, "That's IT!! This robot only adheres to organic materials, such as skin and hair, but won't stick to inorganics, such as water and inert gases!" Then he turned to Goddard and instructed, "Goddard, spray water mists onto the robot and it should detach painlessly!"

Goddard barked and did just that. Just as he predicted, the robot instantly rusted and dropped right off. Then he performed a full-body laser scan on his master to be sure none of it remained inside him.

The results of the scan popped up immediately on VOX's screen, but they were anything but pleasant...


Whew! Glad I got that one done! Another chapter will be done soon! You can count on that! ;)

Um, not exactly a Jimmy robot, it's a robot that's shaped like a leech that was stuck to the back of his neck, and segmented like a worm, but a bit smaller than a worm is usually long. Did you not pay much attention to the context? I'm not scolding you if you didn't, btw! ;)

Chapter 15: A Special Life In Danger


Cindy was getting fairly annoyed with the delay of the results from the scan, so she snapped, "Okay, we know you're in peril, Freak-tron, but HOW you are is still perplexing us! So, find it out and spill it when you're through!!"

"Okay, okay, FINE, Dork-tex!!" Jimmy protested, "I'll get right on it! Jeez!!!" With that, he began typing furiously at his keyboard for a few moments. Then, when he saw what was displayed on the screen, he gasped and exclaimed, "Uh-oh!!"

"What is it, Jimmy?!" Carl nervously asked, nibbling his nails.

"Apparently," Jimmy informed them, "A foreign but deadly chemical was injected into me while that robot was still latched onto me- and what's this?! I only have 3 days to find an antidote, or else that chemical will KILL me??!!"

"Oh, NOOOOO!!!!!!" Carl shrieked, and fainted out of shock.

Oh, dear!!! Cindy thought, trying not to look concerned, My precious hunk-muffin has only DAYS to live! There's gotta be some way I could help him! Yet she couldn't control the tears that welled up in her eyes.

Oh, my gosh!! Jesse told herself, I've only know him a few days, and NOW his life is on the line?! This is just too much for me to TAKE!! I don't wanna see my special hunk die!!!!!! At that, she burst into tears and ran to a far corner of the lab.

Concerned, Libby rushed after her while Jimmy and Sheen tried to wake Carl up, who was still unconscious.

While they were still doing these things, an image started to flicker on VOX's screen. Then the image became steady as a familiar yet evil voice resounded.

This got Jimmy's attention! He rushed back to face the screen while Sheen resorted to splashing Carl's face with a cup of water Goddard had filled. Jimmy immediately recognized the familiar face on screen. Then he snarled, a furious expression on his face, "What do you want, clone??!"

"Well," Evil Jimmy confidently replied, "Now that you're infected, it'll only be 3 days until your demise! Then it'll be a cinch to take over the world!!" With that, he threw his head back while seated in the presidential chair and laughed maniacally.

"What's the story about Betty and Nick, you FIEND?!!" he snapped at him.

"I just used an experimental Purple Flurp to test the new formula. When I saw that it worked, and that they were temporarily mind-controlled, I decided to have a little fun with it! So I told Nick to get Betty pregnant, and I told Betty to allow him to do it! I figured that would keep you busy while I attached the robot onto you that got you infected!!" he mocked Jimmy. Then the screen went black.

"There's your explanation, you two! Happy now?!" he snapped at Nick and Betty, furious at his evil clone.

"Yes, thanks, Neutron," Nick replied calmly.

"So, what do I do now, Jimmy?!" Betty worriedly asked.


There! I finally got it posted! I hope you liked it, and there'll be more as soon as I can come up with the next chapter and write it down, k? It just keeps getting more and more intense, doesn't it?? :onfire:
