The biggest question of my entire childhood was how Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper could be married and not have the same last name.

It consumed me. I asked anybody and everybody this question, and no one could give me a better answer than, "Their names are based on the foods they are."

It wasn't until I was maybe ten that I realized that some women kept their maiden names when they got married, and I assumed this was the answer. So when Natalie (who was five at the time and at Blues Clues watching age) asked me the same question I had asked several people, I had an answer that was somewhat realistic.

Now, I realize that I really don't give a crap anymore, and it's not a big deal because it's just a show for little kids.

I always hated those episodes where Blue met up with Magenta. I hated that dog.

I remember the episode where Steve tried to find the clues like a blind person might, by feeling all over the house. I thought it was kinda weird.

@Beks: I forgot all about Little Bear! That show, Blues Clues, and Arthur were like the only, little kid shows I actually liked.

Though Little Bear did pose more unanswerable questions for me. "Why would someone look at their baby decide to name it Little Bear? He's not going to be little forever."

I was such an inquisitive young child. I over thought everything.
