There's like, 18 brand new porn spam topics right now. I signed in and saw that there were 20 new topics, and was like, "Dude, what'd I miss?" but then I looked at the titles and was like, "Glad I missed this..."

Is there anyway we can find out what the ip address is of whoever keeps making accounts and spamming us with porn? If we could do that, we'd probably be able to block the ip.

No, this is a common thing on forums. They'll get invaded by members of a company (an illegal company) that will post a bunch of random links (usually to porn) under new screen names time and time again. People are paid to do this. It wouldn't be done by anyone we know. After we got hit the first time, I had hoped it was a fluke and not one of these more involved spamming tricks, but I guess I was wrong. We're on a list now, and it's just something we'll have to deal with from time to time.

It's just weird finally getting time to come on here in the first time in... forever and seeing all of that!

Hey Guys.

So today pretty much sucks, doesn't it.


Sorry I wasn't here to deal with the porn fiasco...I was on the interstate driving from VT to RI all day. Then, to add the cherry to the cake, I forgot my cell phone in my dad's car, so I had no way to contact anyone.

Honestly, I'm feeling really frustrated right now. I have so much work to do that it's kind of unbelievable. I don't have time to deal with this porn crap. It was kinda funny the first time, but not anymore.

I'm gonna change the settings on the forums to make it so nobody new can join without pre-authorization from me...at least until December 10th, when my big papers and finals are done.

That's it from me for awhile, guys. Again, my cell phone is gone, so if you need to contact me, send me a message on deviantart.

Good idea, Mara. I was wondering if there was a way to do that once, because I've seen it on other sites, but I'm glad you're doing that. And also, we COULD try admins again... or mods, which was discussed sometime today on another topic. You know, JUST give them topic-deleting privilages and maybe banning? Whatever you want.
