And no worries, Pig, I've been crazy busy myself between school, work, and frequent trips to the doctor's office... I've been getting abnormal pains of increased pressure and cramping in my abdomen, sides, and back, and although I've been poked and prodded to kingdom come, so far all tests have come back negative so the doctor still doesn't know what's going on... *sigh* going back on Monday to get poked and prodded even more...
I'd love to chat more but I've really got to catch up on my rest... even though I'm not around on the internet much, I'm still thinking of you guys, so take care! ^_^

Ugh, I hate getting poked and prodded by clueless doctors...I know how you feel **pats you in sympathy**w00t! I wasn't the only one gone! Not that that's great that people have been away, but at least we can party for more reasons now that we're back!

Oh, man, I've been having something sorta similar going on with me. No one seems to be able to diagnose it, and I've been given every sort of recommendation, gone through every sort of possible problem, and had some lovely poking and prodding done as well. I was in the doctor's office for over 3 hours on Monday. Ugh.And no worries, Pig, I've been crazy busy myself between school, work, and frequent trips to the doctor's office... I'll be praying for you, Elle. I despise doctors, so I know how irritating that can be.

Hm, wonder what's wrong with Rachel and I... Maybe we both just have a case of bad doctors...
I just hope the fire alarm doesn't go off during my appointment again... THAT sucked. X_X
What have I missed around IDOJ? Any life-changing reports? Like Nav converting to BLUEBERRIES!?!?!? :o

In other news...um...have you seen Krista's goodbye post? =( We threw a party for her the other night, giving her gifts and listening to songs sung by DJ, Future Sheen, Future Libby, and NAV...
Fun stuff!
And, er, that's about it. Oh, Mara put a couple music videos up, too; not sure if you saw those. NekoGirl did a J/B vid and Katie did one to "Holding Out for a Hero".

Ya, I always feel like doctors are trying to sell me something. It's like pills are the answer to everything. I feel like they never really look "inside" and use their common sense to help patients.Oh, man, I've been having something sorta similar going on with me. I've had more success with homeopathic/holistic healthcare people - you should give them a try (though unfortunately they're usually more expensive because insurances won't pay for what they feel is "preventative" health care). **rolls eyes** Of course, we wouldn't want to pay money to KEEP patients healthy. Let's wait until they're in dire straits and then pay out a TON of money to try and get them well again. Jeez.

Sometimes I feel I know more than my doctor's do. I actually teach pre-med students Anatomy every semester, so I have been able to self-diagnose some of my own problems. Trick is, doctors don't like hearing the patient try to tell them what is wrong. They are quite convinced it is impossible that a patient could actually correctly deduce what organs of their body are in pain. Sigh.
Darn doctors. I know I have gallbladder problems...but they won't agree to surgery for removal. The only ultrasound they gave me didn't show gallstones, just a weirdly distended and huge gallbladder (which means I probably had stones in there recently), but they said it is not conclusive enough and told me to come back when I get in pain again. Trouble is, the pain comes and goes really quickly, and it is practically impossible to get to a doctor in time before the pain disappears. And they never agree to a second ultrasound to double-check.
I also have trouble with the lining of my lungs, and the doctors shrug that off as "stress-related gastritis" (bullsh**) and acid-reflux. Now they are trying to push my gallbladder pain off as that, too.
Erg. Something is wrong with my lungs. And I am sure that someday my gallbladder will need to be removed (gallstones run in the family). And what do the doctor's do? They gave me a free bottle of generic-brand mylanta and send me on my way whenever I go in.
Now, I know I am probably not perfect in my self-diagnoses, but I'm sick of doctors completely not taking me seriously. For crying out loud, during the ultrasound, it was ME that had to tell the technician what blood vessels and organs they were looking at when they got confused. *headdesk*
Sorry for the rant. I just understand you guys getting frustrated with doctors. They can be pretty stubborn people.
