...And since when did FC sweep AURORA off her feet? Shouldn't he be off in search of Elke, who may have survived DJ's destruction of everyone on Earth somehow?

I think the probability of Aurora and FC getting together is about as high as the possibility of something going on between DJ and FC. O_o

According to Mara, though, DJ ordered FC to release Aurora. So he was just doing what he was told, and she technically isn't indebted to FC. I think FC would be too afraid of Aurora to start thinking romantically, anyway... *shrugs*
