Has anyone heard of the trilogy His Dark Materials. The first book is called The Golden Compass.  It may seem gothic, but it is all fantasy/sci fi.

I've been dying to read those novels! I'm going to try to get my hands on those books and read them before the movie(s) come out o:)

Well, I asked cindy and jimmy forever straight out what her fanfiction.net account was, and she said she was Y Soy Rebelde RBD Rocks. So yeah...she still hasn't apologized yet.

And we SO don't have IQ's over 200. I think we just read a lot.

NO!!! They can't make another movie from a book series I love! The movie is never as good as the book. Allways remember that and you will never be disapointed in a movie again. Take Eragon for enstance. I don't know if anyone else has read it, but the movie left out major things like the entire community of dwarfs and the 'blessing' of the orphan child. And Saphira is not soppost to grow up that fast. The insanity of the world!!!!! :onfire: :onfire:... um... please excuse my latest spasm. Thank you.

Nah, spaz all you like.

My favorite books are any by Gail Carson Levine. She's a GODDESS with fairytales. She wrote Ella Enchanted (ugh, I hated the movie....) and Fairest (which is basically a follow up of Ella).

I love Ella Enchanted ^_^ Both the movie and the novel. But man oh man I wish they would have stayed faithful to the book <_< The novel Ella and the movie Ella are (almost) complete opposites

Oi, I know! I absolutely hated how the king was evil and the ending was not the same AT ALL.

Oh...I love Ella Enchanted. The book was so much better than the movie, even though I do like Anne Hathaway.

Omg, I loved the ending in the book. And, yes, even though it was Anne Hathaway, I didn't like the movie except for the fact that Prince Charmont was.....charmont. ;)

Has anyone read Fairest?

I nearly bought it a few weeks ago but my mom said she'd buy it for me for Christmas. So I waited patiently (yeah right) but she didn't get it for me! She said it wouldn't have been a surprise if she had :'( Oh well hopefully next weekend I'll go get it. It looks like an awesome story, heck all of Gail's stories are amazing ^_^

Yeah, they are. Fairest is placed in the world of Ella so it's a bit of fun. ;)

Yay

I just hope they don't make a movie out of it! As much as I like the movie Ella Enchanted it just can't compare to the novel. Imagine is they do the same thing to Fairest that they did to E.E  ?!

I personally think The Chronicles of Narnia was better in book-form. Sorry." *Bookworm talking here...*

And I am NOT joking about being a book worm. I usually get some different books. I start reading one (mostly late at night), then read a bit of another book the next day, so on and so forth. I literally juggle between books, and I know all the events in each book even though I read little chunks at seperate times. x]

I love multi-book-reading. <3
