Say hello to my little-erm, big-friend, Gwen.
LOOF-LOOF!

-Jessi

Okay, that makes me feel better.

--looks down at pebbles jumping up--

NAV FUNFAX
Stuff you didn't know about Nav

Hey guys! So I just wanted to post some little-known information about everyone's favorite Numerian:

-I got the idea for Nav when I was on a camping trip, trying to come up with a list of all the villains that would be present at the Gorlock High Council meeting
-I can't remember where I came up with the alien race "Numerian", because the name has been floating around in my head for YEARS.
-The term "Samarkandi" comes from Samarkand, the second largest city in Uzbekistan, and historically a very important stop on the Silk Road between the West and China.
-As you know, the name of Nav's spaceship is the Shahada. In real life, the Shahada is the Islamic creed, and has to do with the oneness of God. This creed is the most important pillar of Islam, and it is recited daily. Giving Nav's ship this name is intended to be an ironic statement about Nav's cynical view on organized religion.
-Nav was originally supposed to be a much more nefarious character. He was even going to betray April and Aurora at the end for money. However, he started to grow on me, and I decided to make him a bit more fun-loving. After that, the rest of his story became clear.

That's it for now!

Hmm...more Nav FUNFAX...

OK. Got some. They're mostly etymological, but w/e...

-The name "Nav" means "name" in gypsy (creative, I know  ) His last name, Aksha'at, comes from the Sanksrit word "Akshat", which means "uninjurable". So basically Nav's name is one big giant ironic wordplay - first, that his name is in fact NAME, and second that his last name should be "uninjurable", when in fact he gets injured ALL THE TIME.
-I made up the name Laudya. I was originally going to call her Lillia, but that was too close to the name of the planet where Aurora was captured, Lillia'a Prime. Nav's Mom's name, Lamya, means "dark lipped" in Arabic, and his dad's name, Pov, means "earth" in gypsy.

Oh crud I gotta go. My friends are all watching Office Space and I want IN on that action. Latersville...

I was in realization of both of these things. It helps to read.

There's the big fight, :catfight: when it's over everyone hugs, :treehugger: Aurora and DJ fall in love, everything is magical, *.* Nav wonders what's going on between the two of them (he doesn't know their past), An angry mob appear to kill DJ, :angrymob: some invention makes them forget what's going on, Jimmy and Cindy have a love-dovey moment, and then all go home and relax. :bath:

Yeah! I had a go!
