I don't actually mind the Jimmy/Cindy pairing (one year ago, aI was strongly against it for some strange reason, however), but I think too much emphasis is put into it. The characters aren't even 13 (except for Sheen), and so I don't think it's that important for them to have boy/girlfriends and whatnot.

hmm, let me just say this: without j/c, JN wouldnt have half the fans it does. Other than Sheen, the only reason i watch JN is because of the cute little j/c relationship. Yes, i agree they are a little young, but love comes all shapes and sizes. And no one can disagree with that! :P

But CindyRocks123, thank you, I'm definitely glad that you at least don't mind Jimmy/Betty, (& your post suggests that you might even like it a little, just not nearly as much as J/C) because after I made just that 1 post on TV.com (I'm "TCfan01" over there, but I've just decided on poking around TV.com's JN forums & not posting after that),

I just thought everyone over there either disliked, or hated anything that might prevent J/C. Such as J/B, N/C, C/C (Carl & Cindy), J/A (Jimmy/April) etc

As for me, you can probably take a wild guess on my banner/avatar combo & figure I'm a full-fledged J/B supporter, & you'd definitely be right.

But however, this doesn't mean I can't still RESPECT J/C, even if I don't like the concept of it.

See, aside from the Rika/Ryo pairing on Digimon Tamers, I've never actually been fond of love/hate relastionships. But I've always respected each & every pairing that's out there. Other than Gay, Lesibian, & the Carl/Judy pairing.

But really, the main reason of why I can't really see myself supporting J/C, is because of how Cindy treats him, just to cover up her true feelings.

But Betty on the other hand, she doesn't just "not mind" when Jimmy's fawning over her all "goo goo eyed", but I believe she might actually like this extra attention from him.

If you read -Krista's dedication fic "dreaming", (the link of which can be found in my sig ^_^) then you'll understand exactly how I view the J/B relationship. -Krista practically read my mind on it when she wrote the fic, cause I couldn't have said it better myself! ^_^

But anyhow, that's the way I see Betty, not as your typical snobbish, boyfriend-stealing prom queen, but JUST how she's seen in that fic, a kind & caring person who's just naturally nice to everyone, but especially Jimmy. (I mean, she DID kiss him twice before ya'know, & in early episodes too!)

But back on topic, I do understand perfectly why so many fans like J/C, I HAVE seen each & every JN episode to date, including the legendary Lady Sings The News, which, as you said, WAY too much mushiness to me.

They even seemed a little out of character on both accounts, like it was just shoved in there to make J/C fans happy.

But the others I can see where your all coming from.

I mean, Stranded, King of Mars, Love Potion 976-J, (although Jimmy had been affected by his experiment the whole time), I can see why people like the love side of this pairing.

But what turned me off was the hatred side. I saw the season 1 episodes first, so my first view of Cindy was how horrible she first acted towards Jimmy, but I also saw how sweet & gentle Betty was with him, so it was an all too easy decsion for me on which couple I would support.

But I saw how Cindy's character mellowed out over time throughout the series, & this made me realize how J/C could have so many fans, but I was still intent on supporting J/B, I just understood & respected Jimmy/Cindy far more than I did previously.

P.S.~ Like I've said before, although Cindy isn't my all-time favorite, she IS definitely a favorite, so I totally agree with your username!

um... yes... i've seen a fanfic out there that had to do with the jimmy/timmy pairing. i'm sorry but thats just... well, wrong! >.<

anyway, i'm not really fond of jimmy and betty's relationship (im an avid JC fan). jimmy seems to only like her for her looks. i don't really see anything between them that could be the basis of an actual relationhip. oh well, that's just me. :wacko:

Most days JxC is my favorite, but the shippers sometimes bug the crap out of me. I love how they have their "moments" and how they fight almost incessantly, and however hard they fight you know they're bound to get together some day, because they're like Romeo and Juliet (the star-crossed lovers part, not the whole dying thing). Jimmy and Cindy, however akward and young or whatever they may be, are still more intelligent than the average adult, and most times posses the same level of maturity. "Cute" is okay in moderation, but when people go overboard with it, it becomes shallow and cliche'd and overrated. When JxC is usually depicted, people are like, Ooooh, fluff! They even deign to 'dumb Jimmy down' (in the words of a friend) and put people out of character to see them "hook up."

If JxC had more depth, smarts, maturity, whatever you want to call it, I would be more inclined to call it my favorite. And Nick isn't helping any.

It's things like that that make me like SxL or anything else more. I would even say that Betty is better, even though their hooking up also seems kind of cliche'd, no offense to JxB shippers. I guess the whole "pairing thing" is getting overrated and I'm getting fed up with it. I won't go beserk or anything, or kill anyone over it; in fact I feel better now that I got that rant out of my system. Thanks for being patient with me. :)

Well, i have to say this is my favorite, and the "mushiness" is why i watch the show.It's interesting to see a love/hate relationship turn into something like this. It can be akward sometimes, but its stil the best.

I also like S/L, but there is just too little out there.

I'm a J/C fan, but I think the romance comes too strong right after fights, and that Cindy doesn't want any body touching Jimmy, but treats him like dirt nontheless. That is why I prefer J/B about 10% higher than I support J/C.

The Jimmy/Cindy paring rocks!! I've been a J/C supporter since the movie came out!
I'm okay with other Jimmy parings though, as long as he's happy.

I would like more, but they can never seem to resolve anything, and are constantly fighting. Cindy treats Jimmy like a pile of mud, but she wants him all to herself.

And about King of Mars, Nekogirl said that he only goes goo-goo eyes over Betty, and he can contain his like for Cindy inside very, very well. A flight suit and make-up doesn't really change that, but it did somehow.

Anyway, I like the J/C pairing, and if at all I would say that if he doesn't end up with Betty she would come at a not-so-close but still second.
