I think Cindy is a really great character, because her personality is not stereotype in any point. She is very unique...tempered, smart, independent, strong and complicated. One has to look deeper and get her better to know to really get to her...she's not a clear character...that's what I like^^ She can bash the others and take the lead but at the same time she can be sensible and caring...it's a great concept. But actually I like the fact most, that she is intelligent, thinks and has her own opinion. I just don't like these girl characters that are always nice , simply wonderful and on top of course brave as heck ,having morality practically engraved on their heads.
You know these absolutely goody girls...it makes them seem so...stiff.
There are exceptions of course...but there is one character in a series that is like this stereotype and I HATE that girl...but I won't say the name of course^^
Cindy has power and kicks butts :P Without her the show would miss a lot of energy and tension ^_^
That's why she is my favorite character in the show...(although I dearly love other characters as well!)
I just thought to say something about her as this is a Cindy Vortex fanlub ^_^

As for the same reasons as Laura mentioned, I love Cindy not only for her temper to spark up things but her strong willed independance. If you try to get with her, you WILL get your butt-kicked. :lol:
Like Laura said, she's also a deep, complex person despite her outter aggresive nature. From what I observed from her she has a hard time balancing between her sweet care and her aggresive nature, like in that scene in "The N-Men" when she ignores Carl's suggestion for her to be nice to Jimmy. She later almost confesses her love for Jimmy but... you know the rest.
She deeply yearns to revel herself fully to Jimmy but because of their rivalry and BIG egos, it only makes it more difficult for them, Cindy especally, to really open up to anything with Jimmy.
But reguardless of her immense difficultes she's definitly a strong-willed girl, ready to put her life on the line for her friends if needed and who knows, maybe someday she'll really tell Jimmy how she feels about him and Jimmy would in turn do also.
Maybe, they can just make it. Maybe...

I'm am absolutely convinced it will happen! :wub:
Did you read the interview with Keith on tv.com?
Where he says she has tough times at home...and that influences her behavior towards Jimmy...(or other characters for that matters^^)
I think it shows her will strength that she nonetheless opens up to others during the series, although she might be quite unhappy at home....she doesn't isolate herself and gives up...and she doesn't let herself completely influence by her mother's disapproval of Jimmy and etc. That's what makes her really great!
Oh and we know that she hasn't always issues to claim affection for someone (remember the movie...and her behavior towards Nick? <_< ) ...I am absolutely positive she will get over her confession issues with time... :kawaii: Some see her completely unfittable for any boy...I think she'll do it well once she accepted (not really) the fact (?) that Jimmy is (or maybe just might be) smarter (heaven forbid!) than her ^_^
I just love how she brings an energy boost in the series ^_^
~~~Go Cindy!~~~
I like how she is Independent and doesn't let anyone stand in her ways.When she sees something she likes she doesn't hesitate to go out and take it.She takes matters into her own hands.
There two main rivals in the series: Goku and Vegeta. In the first fight between them Vegeta, the prince of all sayins hailing from a high royal bloodline, was surpassed by Goku, a lower-class sayin originally sent to Earth to destroy it but then fell and bumped his head, causing him to forget his savage, destructive nature.
Anyway, Vegeta's loss to Goku ensued a bitter rivalry for nearly a decade in the series until their battle with Majin Buu. Seeing Super Sayain 3 Goku battle an even match with Buu made Vegeta realize that no matter how much vigorous training he can ever put on himself, Goku is just a natural fighter and will always be one step ahead of him. While in the past he's been reluctant to accept this fact, due to his anger and his BIG ego (Cindy anyone), he finally accepts that fact and admits: He's the best.
This fits perfectly with Jimmy and Cindy. Goku (Jimmy) is born with a natural talent surpassing everyone else while Vegeta (Cindy) becomes angered over her inferiority. The only difference here is that Cindy has feelings for Jimmy. So you can see the similarity.
If Vegeta can accept Goku's talents and put his egoistic rivalry to rest, then I believe that Cindy can do it with Jimmy too.
Perhaps that doesn't belong here, but did you ever notice in Out Darn Spotlight the scene where Cindy's mom is bragging in front of everyone (after which Willoughby hushed her^^) that Cindy's dad is silently shaking ashamed his head?
I thought it was funny that her Dad is apparently ashamed by his wife :D
Oh and something else...on the German Nick site you can read, that Cindy is doing a sport called 'Kwan Fung'....
:blink: I just thought WTF? That is never mentioned is it?
